Training Catalogue

• Metadata about courses and training packages stored in a database– Basic information

• Course title, Language, Provider, Duration, Level, Delivery format, Keywords

– Other searchable information• Course type, cost, certificate, intended audience

– Course details• Location, didactic approach, fee, overview, training units,

prerequisites etc

• Based on MySQL DBMS (open source)• Multilingual support

Use cases for catalogue services

• A potential trainee wants to find information about a course and how to enrol

• A course provider enters metadata• A course provider assembles courses into

a training package (training package builder)

• Updating and cleaning by the database administrator

Training Package Builder

• Build customised learning paths (training packages)

• Based on the requirements of a specific person or organisation

• Requires metadata with course content, levels, prerequisites etc.
