Standard Features

1 MAIN CASTINGS

Made of highest grade Meehanite Casting, in accordancewith ASTM specifications, Lagun Mills are built oversizedfor increased durability and ruggedness. They outweighmajor competitors by nearly 1,000 lbs. (453kg)

Interchangability of column knee, saddle: Lagun is theonly factory worldwide that can offer full interchangabilityof all castings. (The only pert different from machine tomachine is the gib length.)

3 SADDLES

Extra wide 23" (584mm) to provide excellent support. There is no tilting or binding with the Lagun large table and special way design.

4 LEADSCREWS

Rolled and ground to provide better accuracy and with ahigh nickel content to improve durability. Adjustableantibacklash nuts allow for compensation as themachine ages.

5 UNIQUE TABLE LOCKS

Handles are spring-loaded to allow repositioning oncelocked. This advanced design design clamps the table tothe saddle (does not push on the gib). This keeps thesaddle from distorting when locked.

6 HARDENED AND GROUND WAYS

The ways on a Lagun Mill are induction heat treated, thenprecision ground. All Lagun Mills come standard with aunique combination Dovetail / Square Y-axis way. Thisoffer a wider area for support and the benefit of a Dovetailfor maximum accuracy. This design is exclusive to Lagunmachines.

7 FLOOD COOLANT SYSTEM

Built in standard on all models. Allows for greater tool lifeand higher speeds for improved finishes. One shotlubrication to the ways and screws to ensure equal oilingto all critical areas.

8 RIGID QUILL TRAVEL

At maximum quill travel, 3/4 of the total quill length is stillinside the housing, providing extra support and rigidity.
