Summary
What do we mean by the term bonding in terms on aircraft electrical systems?
It is the interconnection of conducting parts of an aircraft to ensure the safe distribution of electrical charges and currents.

Summary
What electrical quantity does a Safety Ohmmeter measure?
Resistance – (primarily very low resistance).
What are the two functions of the Safety Ohmmeter?
Perform aircraft electrical bonding checks
Perform resistance checks on sensitive electronic circuitry

Summary
The Airframe should form a Low Resistance path to allow it to:
Be safely used as an “earth return system” under normal and fault conditions.
Ensure that electro static charges cannot build up between adjacent panels.
Minimize the damage to the aircraft structure and components in the event of a lightning strike.
