COPLAN AG is an independent engineering company for almost all fields of construction. Structure and organi-zation comply with the latest requirements of the market and of the customers which means clearly defined plan-ning processes providing high flexibility in processing.
Our business activities allow for the organization of individual project teams with holistic approach for architectural and engineering services of high quality. We develop specific solutions for the client as an indivi-dual service or as a general design.
We have been consulting, planning and supervising successfully for more than 40 years which proves the solid knowledge on which new conclusions and develop-ments are based and new services can be developed. We owe this opportunity of experience to our permanent staff of many years, the impulses of new employees and the regular further training measures resulting from the annual customer surveys, market observations and individual leadership.
We practice „independent minds“ in technical and economic terms for our customers and their success to be successful on our own, since 2/3 of the capital stock of COPLAN AG are held by our employees as share-holders.

1963Formation of engineering office by Dipl.- Ing. Peter Kessler, Eggenfelden. 1999 Basic restructuring as corporation of employees and new registration of the company as COPLAN AG Consultants Architekten Ingenieure. Approx. 70% of the capital stock was raised by the employees. 2000 Introduction of the company-internal software DABASCO (database system for company controlling) and of monthly internal colloquia for the transfer of knowledge. 2001 Certification acc. to DIN ISO 9001:2000 by DQS GmbH (German Association for Quality Assurance). Start of action „Art in Enterprise“ with annually two art exhibitions and private viewing for invited guests. 2002 Opening of an office in Munich. Consulting activities in Australia. Completion of the projects in Gyoer. 2003 Performance of a pilot study regarding a groundwa-ter reservoir in Brazil. Intensification of flood control measures; introducing a software for two-dimensional simulation of events of flooding. 2004 Affiliation of Erding office to the Munich office. Intro-ductiong CAPISCO as EDP-version (work portal for assistance in project management and documenta-tion). Renewal of the certification of quality manage-ment system.2005 Formation of an international team with companies from Belgium, Italy, Turkey and Germany; distinction with the award "Best Renewable Projekt" of the year 2005 by the US specialist magazine "Power Enginee-ring" for the Solarpark Bayern. 2006 Dipl.-Wirtschaftsing. (FH) Stephan Weber becomes a member of the board of directors of VUBIC; University teaching position for Dipl. Ing. (FH) Peter Schoeftenhu-ber at the FH Deggendorf; Projects in France and Great Britain based on an international master agreement.2007 Dr.-Ing. Martin Steger becomes head of the advisory board of the Umweltcluster Bayern. Projects in Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.2008 Foundation of an associated company in Romania with emphasis on work for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Martin steger, Dr.-ing., Bergassessor born January 17th, 1958 in Eggenfelden. Member of Bayerische Ingenieurekammer-Bau, member no. 12472. After attending grammar school Karl-von-Closen-Gynmasium in Eggenfelden from 1979 - 1985 he com-pleted the mining studies at Montanuniversitaet Leoben (Austria). 1985 graduate in mining engineering, 1986 - 1988 internship to the Bergassessor at Bayerisches Oberbergamt in Munich. 1987 - 1988 postgraduate environmental studies at the Technical University TUM in Munich. 1988 - 1993 scien-tific employee for the department of water quality and waste management of TU Munich. 1993 formation of firm Martin Steger GmbH, Eggenfelden, technology consul-tants for waste and sewage management. 1994 conferral of a doctorate at the Technical University TUM in Munich, Engineering and Surveying department. Publications in German and English language. Cooperation with the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. He joined COPLAN AG in 1999 as manager in the course of restructuring of the company. Since then in charge of the technical department. Integration of Martin Steger GmbH. Head of the advisory board of the Umweltcluster Bayern since 2007.
stephan Weber, Dipl.-Wirtschaftsingenieur (fH)born August 17th, 1959 in Krefeld. Member of Bayerische Ingenieurekammer-Bau, member no. 12972. After at-tending the grammar school Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Munich from 1978 - 1983 he completed several in-ternships at Messerschmitt-Boelkow-Blohm in Ottobrunn near Munich. 1983 - 1989 studies at the University of Applied Science in Munich, study course industrial engi-neering. 1986 - 1989 technical consultant at Muenchener Messegesellschaft mbH. 1989 graduate in industrial en-gineering with final degree as Wirtschaftsingenieur. 1989 - 1990 planning officer at Muenchener Messegesellschaft mbH. 1990 - 1992 project manager at Mannesmann Mobilfunk GmbH, Munich. 1992 - 1993 project manager at COPLAN Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, Eggenfelden. 1994 - 1999 manager of branch office Berlin, COPLAN Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. He joined COPLAN AG in 1999 in the course of restruc-turing of the company as manager in charge of the com-mercial department. 2002 member of the VUBIC board of traffic concerns; 2006-2008 committee member in the VUBIC board of directors. Since the merger of VUBIC with VBI in 2009 member of the VBI board of directors.

QUaLitY ControL
A quality management system acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001 - 2000 was established to provide transparent project management and a secured workflow for custo-mers and employees. Certification was issued in July 2001, the annual system inspections were successfully conducted. This Certification was renewed in 2007 for another three years.
The company manual includes the essential contents applicable for everybody. Detailed information, lists, special working rules etc. can be found in CIP1) so that they are always available in the current version at every single work station.
Order processing is supported by means of the self-de-signed software: DABASCO2) for project management and supervision and CAPISCO3), the work portal with documentation management.
Information and the latest project data is transferred via intranet and is saved and archived by our IT de-partment.

The range of services of COPLAN AG is just as diverse as the customer spectrum of the company. The public sector and the private sector each have a share of approx. half of the annual turnover.
Cooperation of many years emphasizes the relationship with our permanent customers „municipalities“ consisting of approx. 200 cities, towns and communities. Not only the regional capital Munich but also rural communities trust in our competence. The federal and state building authorities as well as administration unions of all types complete our list of customers of the public sector.
Industry and trade form the major portion of our customers of the private sector. However, not only BMW or MAN trust in our competence, but also architects and engineers' offices rely in the cooperation with COPLAN AG.
The orders are evenly divided into 50% architectural and structural engineering and 50% civil engineering. Whether minor measures or complex major projects, we are able to fulfil nearly any kind of tasks. And all of our clients benefit from this mix: cross reference is provided, know-how transfer is realized.
