SOLID LEGS - On our bipods, the legs are machined from solid metal (aluminum or steel), not hollow, bent sheetmetal like on our competitor's bipods. You won't get that "springy" feel when you take your shot.

POSITIVE LOCKING - Our designs all use positive locking notches. The load that the leg is able to sustain is 15 times greater than that of de-signs which use a friction-type locking mechanism.

SOLID STEEL LATCHES - The locking latches are wire-EDM cut from solid blocks of 4140 chrome-moly steel. Our latches are un-matched for strength and precision.

304 STAINLESS STEEL - Solid 304 stainless castings are used at critical stress points like the knuckle joint. Our competitors use fabricated sheetmetal construction.

SUPERIOR DIE CASTINGS - Aluminum alloy parts are die-cast of AL14130 using pressures upwards of 30,000 PSI. This ensures parts that are essentially porosity-free yet lightweight.

Compare and see the difference yourself - when our competitors make bipods which they claim to have "positive locking" legs, the legs have radial grooves which are lathe turned, simple and cheap - but weakens the entire leg. Our locking notches are indi-vidually machined ONLY where the latch locks the leg - more expensive, but much stronger. We don't cut corners and neither should you.

NYLON 66 - Reinforced Nylon 66 is extremely tough, able to withstand temperatures ranging from -13° F (- 25° C) to 302° F (140° C). Reinforced fibers mean parts that are nearly impossible to break.

SPRING-POWERED LEGS When you're in the prone or sitting position, raising your rifle even an inch or two is often difficult. Some bipods make this task even harder by making the shooter pull out the legs against spring tension. The all-new Versa-Pod® 50-Series bipods all come with spring-powered legs that make it easier to elevate your rifle when you are prone or sitting.

AXIAL ROTATION (CANT) CONTROLThe ability to quickly correct for uneven ground is crucial for making a first-shot hit - yet most bipods don't offer this important feature. All Versa-Pod® bipods have built-in cant correction. The all-new 50-Series Versa-Pod® bipods feature a new friction lock mechanism (patent pending) operated by the shooter's non-shooting hand, so it's now possible to limit the degree of cant rotation, or to lock it down completely.

TILT AND PAN CONTROL All Versa-Pod® bipods have built-in tilt and pan movements - essential for making shots on real-world targets under actual conditions.
