High Reliability

VERS supports smooth ignition in extreme temperature conditions and successfully protects the car battery by reducing the stress of quick discharge during engine start and through periods of low battery levels. According to the Journal of Power Sources, a combined system of ultracapacitors supporting a traditional car battery lengthens the battery life by a factor of 2 (Argonne Report 2012). Additionally, VERS reduces the effective working time of both the alternators and breaks thereby increasing the overall vehicle energy transfer efficiency and delaying the need for costly repairs and servicing of many crucial vehicle subsystems.
