VERONICA J. KIRCHOFF

To Whom It May Concern:

I am actively pursuing immediate, full-time employment that will take advantage of my breadth of experience in the

operational and administrative sides of business. I am confident that my experience in full cycle accounting for multiple

clients/entities, small business management, and my strong communication and collaboration skills make me an ideal

candidate for a variety of accounting and finance roles.

I am currently in my third year of an online degree program at WGU, working toward my Bachelor of Science in Accounting

and studying to take the Certified Professional Controller (CPC) exam within the next few months.

Working at a mortgage brokerage and an accounting firm, I was often up against tight deadlines that required outstanding

attention to detail and organizational skills to deliver complete and accurate reports, presentations, and other complicated

financial documents on time and within established guidelines.

In my work at the mortgage brokerage, I was responsible for keeping all fiscal records and preparing for the annual auditsrequired for federal and state brokerage licensure. I also managed the business licensing, tax reporting, and regulatory

compliance for each of the six states in which we operated.

At the accounting firm, I was responsible for full cycle accounting including daily/weekly bookkeeping, month-end close,

account reconciliations, payroll processing & tax filings, city & state business tax filings, and federal income tax preparation f

the firm and multiple clients. I worked with clients across a variety of industries, including retail, wholesale, ecommerce,

manufacturing, hospitality, construction, technology, financial services, health services, property management, and more.

While I do like the excitement of working with several different clients, there is a limit to the amount of impact I have on eac

business’ development as an outsourced accountant. I would like to focus on working for one company and help build the

business as a key member of the team, where my impact can be seen and felt.

I heard a saying recently, "I'm a mile wide and an inch deep." That really hit home for me. I want to take my knowledge andexperience deeper and higher, rather than wider. I’m looking for a long-term career opportunity with vertical growth, rather

than the lateral growth I've experienced over the last 8 years.

I have exceptionally strong computer skills, including the entire Microsoft Office Suite on both Windows and Mac platforms. I

have also worked with multiple accounting and ERP systems, including QuickBooks, NetSuite and Dynamics GP. I am always

looking to increase my skills, knowledge, and productivity by taking continuing education classes on my own time, and

implementing updated technologies and procedures.

After my daughter was born in 2013, I took an extended maternity leave and eventually decided to continue working part-

time on a freelance basis instead of going back to full-time work immediately. Being a freelancer for the past three years, I

am extremely self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative. I also work very well on teams, able to both

give and receive direction effectively.

My daughter is now in pre-school and enjoying her newfound independence, and I am excited to get back to work full-time

and continue building my career, knowledge and experience in a challenging position that rewards me for my hard work

and dedication.

I have attached my resume, and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Veronica J. Kirchoff
