What is Fiber-to-the-Premise?

• FTTP is Verizon’s next-generation broadband network

• While Verizon has been using fiber-optic systems in our network for years, FTTP is a major extension of fiber optics, using next-generation technology, all the way to our residence and business customers’ premises

• Permanent infrastructure which in all likelihood will not need to be dug up to modify and grow in the years to come

•Service Technician is dispatched to premise on date due

•Makes Connection at main terminal on pole.

•Places fiber optic wire in micro conduit

• Places Optical Network Terminal (ONT), Battery Back-Up (BBU), and Power Supply Unit (PSU) in your home.

• Runs wire from ONT to jack where router is to be placed
