IEEE TENSYMP 2016 – SIGHT Session

Venue: Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel, Bali, Indonesia The SIGHT session was held together with the IEEE Young Professionals Meetup which was held on the morning of the same day. SIGHT Session took place in the afternoon. Agenda of the event shown below;

Details of Keynote Speaker for the SIGHT session

Dr. Linawati Undergraduate, electrical engineering, ITS, Surabaya, 1990 MEngSc., Electrical Engineering, UNSW, Australia, 1999 PhD, Electrical Engineering & Telecommunications, UNSW, Australia, 2004

Positions: 1991 - Now Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, Udayana University 2007 - Now Head of ICT Division in Udayana University 2006 - Now Executive Director of GDLN Udayana University 2006 - 2007 Vice of ICT Division in Udayana University Actively involved in Humanitarian Activities and IEEE Indonesia Section Structure of the SIGHT Session

Dr. Linawati delivered the keynote touching on problems faced by people in Indonesia which can be solved by humanitarian projects. Problems emphasised by her were;

1. Waste Management 2. Poverty 3. Dengue fever outbreaks

Participants were divided into groups and were given 45 minutes to brainstorm and come up with solutions for one of the selected issues.

At the end of the brainstorming session, each group was given 8 minutes to present their idea.

Presentations were judged depending on the following criteria;
