Physical Characteristics

Downtown Ventura: shows the ways Ventura kind of is, there's a lot of clubs on Main St., and it shows what some people are like, in Ventura, party machines.

The Ventura Beach: shows that people in Ventura love the beach.

Two Trees: has become a hiking attraction to people that are tourists or people that live in the county but just want a good workout.

Human-Environment InteractionSurfing: is one of the most popular for interacting with the environment.

The Ventura Beach Pier: without the pier there you wouldn’t be able to be on that part of the water, unless you paddled or swam out there.

Hobart Skate Park: is a skate park within a regular park, this interacts with the environment because before that was all grass, and now it’s a skate park.

Economy ActivityVons: there is a Vons in every city in Ventura County.

The Ventura Government Center: is where a lot of federal business is taken care of.

The Pacific View Mall: is a tourist attraction, has a lot of things you can buy, and is mostly very pricy items.

Government

Police Station: Officer looking over the city of Ventura

Marina Park: Parks are established there by the City.

Fire Station: Victoria Ave. Protect fires.

Agriculture

Santa Paula Lemon Orchard: A lot of orchards are grown in Ventura County.

Calavo Orchards: Avocado Orchards, a huge part of the agriculture of Santa Paula

Faulkner Farm Pumpkin Patch: grown in October

Bodies of Water

Lake Casitas: get our water resources from there, that’s why they don’t allow swimming in the lake.

Emma Wood: state beach

Santa Clara River

Culture

Tortilla Flats: portrays the history of Ventura a little bit.

Mexican Cowboys(vaqueros): A lot of them populate Santa Paula

Tlaquepaque: authentic Mexican food., shows what kind of restaurants are in Ventura County.

Ecosystems

Flower field: off the 126 highway

Swarm of Pelicans: flying across the Ventura Harbor.

The Ventura River

Patterns of Settlement

Aparments in Oxnard: shows how some patterns were developed, to make it easier on people to live in, affordable. The 126 Freeway: Ventura, Saticoy,

Fillmore, are all lined up along this freeway, which makes it easier to travel from city to city.

The Meadows: gated community in Camarillo, more expensive, but safe communities.

Transportation

The highway: a way to transport ourselves from city to city.

Ventura Bike path: If you ride it all the way through it will lead you to Ojai.

Train Tracks: in Ventura, the train that passes through.
