And yes from there you will need all hands on deck, in order to get in on board quickly. Rialto Market and small Side Street Shops If you are looking for general Italian dry goods, dairy and cold cuts go and see Lorenzo Gastronomia in one of the side streets. He will be able to offer you some of the best cold cuts and cheeses in the region, and he also possess- es a handy vacuum-pack machine. For a small tip he will be able to also deliver to mainland Venice. Here you’ll also find a little fruit and vegetable shop, which is open even on Sundays and never closes during siesta. The Rialto Market is one of the best kept secrets in Ven- ice. Getting to the market from any of the 2 berths is an absolute nightmare at any time of the day. Try to catch a water taxi from your yacht and for around 60 Euro each way they drop you right at the market. Italian Fish mongers are very proud of their fish filleting skills, so your best bet is to,just let them clean and scale it for you. Pay the man and pick the fish up when you about the leave. Don’t be shy to ask for coffee as most markets have runner boys who work for a cafe nearby.
