Obon lanterns

● to welcome others● festive; shows gratitude● to send loved ones off

What you need● 1 sheet vellum paper● 1~2 sheets origami● scissors● glue

Fold top about 1 cm (½ inch)

Fold bottom of vellum up to last

fold (folding sheet in half)

Fold again and again to make 4 equal columns

Use half of origami to make 4 strips

Glue strips to outside border

Make origami squares into snowflakes (any shape)

Glue shapes face down to inside of vellum

When you flip it over...

Glue the end tab and put together

When lit from within!
