Every day some 50 trucks with PALFINGER truck-mounted forklifts and a further 110 vehicles are on the road for “just in time” supply of construction sites with material. WeGo GmbH has been closely collaborating with PALFINGER for over ten years. “In a year our trucks co- ver around 50,000 km; their service life is between eight and ten years,” explains Matthias Schickedanz. “Given these requirements we place special emphasis on high quality and faultless service.” With his six employees in the WeGo headquarters in Hanau, Schickedanz manages the entire fleet. In the last two years, WeGo has exclusively purchased PALFINGER products and has now also switched to this system supplier for truck-mounted forklifts. Good evaluations by the drivers and the proximity to PALFINGER were decisive in this, according to Schickedanz. But at WeGo the vehicle fleet is not just considered to be a necessary cost factor: “We see ourselves as trading specialists for manufacturing establishments in the construction industry, which must be sup- plied just in time. That is why we place great value on a well-functioning service and first-class supply. For virtually any company can sell building materials. Although getting the goods onto the construction sites on time and with the correct logistics, is a different matter – and one of our strengths! For us, it is immen- sely important that we have good, reliable equipment, in the case of both the trucks and our forklifts.” Loading and unloading of the trucks with building materials is also possible over greater distances with a truck-mounted forklift.
