I had some 1/2" poplar scraps so I used it for this project, however a 1 x 6 x 10' pine board would be fine as well.

20 degrees

Take the four end pieces and make a 20 degree cut on both ends.

Make the BasketsI just eye balled the placement of the slats but they are roughly 3/4" apart.

Start with attaching the four slats on the bottom with wood glue and 1" brad nails if you are using 1/2" material, or 1 1/4" brad nails if you are using 3/4" material.

Then add the slats to the side. Use the same steps to make a second basket.
