A bolted static pipe connection including two flanges where the bolt loads are transferred through metal to metal contact between flange faces.

Dynamic loading does not have an impact on the SPO Compact flange, however, on the ASME flange the bolting may loosen and the flange will start leaking (when bolting hasn’t been retightened within due time).
