Our Advantages
Refinish/PaintVector – UK has a state of the art, fully accredited facility, capable of tasking on the largest rotary wing platforms, or the smallest component.
For full Plastic Media Strip (PMS) and refinish, we are in a position to meet any individual customer needs including bespoke solutions across civil and defence sectors.
Turn times are at a globally leading level and our team, who have over 300 years combined experience of refinishing, ensure all of our customers have their aircraft, or components, delivered with pride and to the highest quality standards.
With the support of our on-site design and engineering teams we can resolve the constraint of bay dimensions as demonstrated by our ongoing fast jet refinish programme. Vector can also offer helicopter customers a fly-in fly-out capability.
Within the facility the modern ventilation system allows the air to be heated and re-circulated, benefiting the drying and process times with subsequent reductions in turn times and associated costs.
The internal automatic humidifier allows the use of environmentally friendly and solvent based paints.
With the high air settling rate achieved it is possible to paint free of spray mist and maintain our highest quality standards. High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP), spray guns ensure compliance with the latest standards.
Refinish Capabilities:

Our high grade composite facility delivers work shop component repairs using a range of modern materials. Vector – UK offers a comprehensive mobile repair capability enabling us to deliver on site structural repairs across Europe from its facilities across the UK.
We offer you the use of an autoclave which measures 4m x 2.5m supporting our workshop based activities; this complimented by our purpose built workshops produces over 3000 individual repairs annually.
Our team of composite repair technicians, who have over 100 years experience in aviation and marine composite production and repair, deliver every task to our customers with extreme skill and pride, striving to give value for money and complete customer satisfaction.
Capabilities include:
• One stop shop capability, repair, manufacture and refinish within one company• Kevlar, Carbon and GRP repair work carried out by our fully trained personnel • Rapid turn times • Fully accredited across both civil and military MRO 145 regulatory frameworks• Mobile Repair Team also available for on site, on wing repairs
Composite Capability
Our dedicated overhaul facility delivers component repair capability to the aerospace, marine and energy markets. Supported by a highly experienced and customer focused team, utilising the latest aerospace technology, Vector Aerospace provides overhaul and repair solutions to satisfy the demands of our global customer base.
Capabilities include:
• High tolerance rotor blade grind and balance• TIG welding and MIG welding (steel, nickel alloy, magnesium alloy and titanium)• Precise co-ordinate measuring capability• Chemical and abrasive cleaning• In house responsible level 3: technique development and approval • Rockwell Hardness Testing• High volume NDT Nadcap accredited (fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle and eddy current inspections)
Manufacturing
Vector – UK offers a complete one stop shop for the fabrication of sheet metal components complimented by our comprehensive material treatment facility. With the skills and equipment that exist within Vector, from folding machines to English wheels, Kraftformers, CNC pipe benders. We can project manage your requirements through our facilities, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Our capabilities range from manual milling and turning to full CNC capability and CMM measuring equipment. Using these broad capabilities we provide solutions to your engineering issues, from piece parts through to full modification kits and batch manufacture work. The Vector – UK design team is also here to offer advice and support at any level.
Vector Aerospace is EASA 21G accredited, Form 1 certified and our heat treatment facility is NADCAP approved.
