Future Mobility11th VDV Electric Bus Conference and ElekBu Trade Fair

Our conference focusses on shaping sustainable mobility to lower emissions and increase the quality of life. The efficiency advantage of public transport over other transport modes can be improved by increasing the capacity of public transport and by using alternative energies. The changing political framework makes high demands on the realisation of this transformation in respect of time and practical organisation.

Thus, the EU involves itself in the technical realisation with its Clean Vehicles Directive and its specification of procurement quotes for clean and emission-free vehicles. The climate policy activities of the German Federal Government promote the transformation process within the transport sector by modifying the German tax law and by setting tighter CO2 emission limits.

The necessary conversion to electric energy, which is stored either in a battery or as hydrogen, requires new systemic approaches. Filling and charging concepts, depot designs, bus parking spaces and IT systems for the scheduling have to be adapted in consideration of the range the batteries and/or the filling/charging capacities.

We want to grab the chance to become solution providers in this transformation and we want to exchange views on the practical and technical realisation, the latest technical developments, successful processes already realised, staff training and many other topics.
