1 Day before VBS: Pray for all leaders, final lesson planning, room

preparation, and smooth preparation

give them strength and flexibility.

Day 2 of VBS: Pray for increased attendance and transformed lives.

Pray that all participants will

experience God’s presence today.

Day 3 of VBS: Pray for joy and

enthusiasm for all workers. Pray for

each person attending VBS and their families.

decision counselors.

Day 5 of VBS: Pray that leaders will be sensitive to those who still need to

respond to the Gospel. Pray for

children as they continue learning about living with Christian character.

Pray for Commencement Night activities and that unchurched

families will come and feel welcome.

After VBS Pray for rest and relaxation for all VBS workers. Pray for the openness of parents as

follow-up contacts are made during Outreach on July 6. Pray that our church will begin to help meet needs discovered during VBS. Pray that what was learned during VBS will make a difference in the lives of those who

participated. Pray that VBS prospects and their families will come to Sunday School and worship. Pray that people who have accepted Christ as Savior can be brought into the fellowship

of our church (or another church) and begin growing in Christlikeness. Pray that people who worked in VBS will sense God’s pleasure and satisfaction with

their efforts. Give thanks for an awesome week.

Our Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled

spiritual adventure for “city tourists” that

provides concentrated Bible study and

encourages real life application.

The goal of Vacation Bible School is to

reach people of all ages, leading them to

know and respond to Jesus Christ as their

Lord and Savior.

VBS is a wise investment of our time and

resources.

WHY DO VACATION

BIBLE SCHOOL?

takes to have a great VBS. God bless you!

Vacation Bible School should be a pleasant experience for all

children. Therefore a disruptive or rude child should be dealt with in a loving and caring manner. If you need assistance, please consult your DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR. If the problem persists, the child should be taken

to the VBS RECORDS OFFICE where a VBS staff person will pray and counsel with the child. Hopefully, this will resolve

our problem and the parents will not have to be contacted.

A nurse will be available during VBS to handle accidents,

bruises, scratches and illnesses. Please take the child to the VBS RECORDS OFFICE for attention.

Every child receives 2 cookies

Refills are available on drinks after your group has been served.

Throw away your cups and napkins in the trash can.

No running in the snack area.

If you know someone who has a food allergy, please inform your class leader.

1) In your VBS teachers guide you will find a list of supplies necessary to teach your lessons.

2) Please include other items you will need on your list.

3) As you know, we have the RESOURCE ROOM and the CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR’S OFFICE where supplies are kept. Check with ALENE HART, SHANNON MCCOY, or MORGAN BROWNING if you do not find what you need.

4) We can advertise in the church publications to try to secure items not on hand.

5) Please submit your final VBS supply list for approval by VBS Staff by Tuesday, May 27. Please do not place your own orders.

6) Please laminate only VBS items that will have repeated use.

Maintenance crews are available to help you with your room

set-up. Pick up a MAINTENANCE REQUEST FORM at the main office or from SHANNON MCCOY or ALENE HART and

turn it in by June 6.

Classroom set-up includes tables, chairs and other items along with the suggested arrangement.

Please be considerate, custodial crews will only take requests from the main office.
