VAYA CON DIOSLes Paul & Mary Ford recorded the most pop-

ular version of “Vaya con Dios” in 1953. It reachednumber one on both the Billboard Best Seller & theCash Box charts.

“Go with God” are the Spanish words for ahumble but effective way to say, “Goodbye,” to thosewhom you hope to meet again.

And if I don’t see the sun rise tomorrow,“Vaya con Dios, my friends.”

you dare to be yourself.”

These are reflections to be re-read when I am too old to journey from the comfort of my stead and, so that in1

my bed, I can relive the days gone by. ANONYMOUS WARS ON RELIGION‘Lima Golf’ — Anonymous is a loosely-operated ring of zealots.Anonymous attacks what it finds wrong with the world: corpora-tions, governments & other groups that “threaten the freedom ofthe people.”

Web Pro News says that on Fri-day, Anonymous attacked its most con-troversial target yet — religion. It cal-led “religion a sickness to this world.”

The AnonymousIRC Twitter ac-count announced on Friday three attacks so far on church Web sites: BethelOutreach International Church, the Crossfire Ministries, & the Charlotte In-ternational Church. All are based in & around Charlotte, North Carolina.

They have defaced the sites withanti-religion rhetoric & even a videofeaturing Richard Dawkins set to auto-play so visitors are forced to see it.

This almost reminds me of theold West & gunslingers riding intotown & shooting everything up — justbecause. I think it is mostly made up ofimmature guys. Until they can be track-ed down, we’ll have this cyber-graffiti/vandalism/havoc & crazed shooters tolook out for.

It’s so much easier to teach hate than to share love.Once you begin to travel the Hate Highway, there are fewer and fewerand fewer off-ramps.

Keep love in your heart, the future in your eyes, and faith above all.

RACISM DIFFERENTLYWhen the word “racism” is used,

it’s normally assumed to be a referenceto relations between the whites and theblacks in America. But such is not al-ways the case.

In Cascade, Idaho, a restaurantowner intended to bar one of warriorsbecause Amone’s complexion causedthe owner to think he was an Indian.

My team was in uniform, wearingour green berets. The owner had noproblems letting my black warriors in; but, there was no way he was going tolet an Indian in.

Fortunately, Amone was of Italian descent.Unfortunately, for the owner — even after he profusely apologized for

the mistaken identity — we went to a different diner.Discrimination has no place in Special Forces as we are a team of

warriors from every nation, diverse backgrounds, & educational experiences.Ovide William Mercredi, Order of Manitoba, (born

January 30, 1946) is a Canadian politician. He is CreeIndian & a former National Chief of the Assembly of FirstNations, 1991-1997.

BOSTON MASSACRECompare this with what you were taught in school. Most were not taught

about the fear of the troops, the trial, or the defense attorney’s name.Wikipedia: “The Boston Massa-cre, called “The Incident on KingStreet” by the British, March 5,

1770, in which British Army soldierskilled 5 civilian men.

“British troops had been sta-tioned in Boston, capital of the Prov-ince of Massachusetts Bay, since 1768in order to protect & support crown-appointed colonial officials attemptingto enforce unpopular Parliamentarylegislation. Amid ongoing tense rela-tions between the population and thesoldiers, a mob formed around a Brit-ish sentry, who was subjected to verbalabuse and harassment. He was eventu-ally supported by a small company oftroops, who were subjected to verbalthreats and thrown objects. They firedinto the crowd, apparently withoutorders, instantly killing three people and wounding others. Two more peopledied later of wounds sustained in the incident.

HATEFUL WORDS

When people air hateful words, Ishutter to think what’s really in

their heads. Thank God, I can’t readminds.

Rush Limbaugh, radio talk showhost, called Sandra Fluke a “slut,” “pro-stitute,” & “feminazi” in response to herinsistence to a special Congressionalcommittee that insurance from her Ca-tholic university must provide her withfree coverage for all her contraceptionneeds. See “Contraceptive Facts.”

And Pat Robertson knows tornadoes tore through the Midwest lastweek because people didn’t pray enough. On “The 700 Club”, he stated: “Ifenough people were praying [God] would’ve intervened, you could pray,Jesus stilled the storm, you can still storms.” he said on the show.

Robertson also blamed people for living in tornado-prone areas. “Why

did you build houses where tornadoes were apt to happen?” he asked.I’m guessing one word: Jobs!And, of course, the 46 separate tornadoes, the longest of which wiped

a path 52 miles long at 75 MPH, hit places never hit before. And most of thetargets are within “The Bible Belt.” THOSE people don’t pray enough? Whatchance do the rest of us have?

Of course, Robertson is the same “Christian” who believed the 2010Haiti earthquake was because of a pact Haitians made with the devil to setthem free from Napoleon III. (In 1804, Napoleon ruled; not his kid.).

According to Robertson, Haitians said, “We will serve youif you’ll get us free from the French. And so, the devil said,okay it’s a deal.”

CONTRACEPTIVE FACTSØ Contraceptives do more than prevent pregnancy. I had a dear friendin High School who every time she had her period, she doubled-over in pain.A straight-A student, she had to work extra hard since she knew she wouldmiss 3 days of school about every 28 days.Ù Insurance is not free to students. The students & staff pay for it.Ú Abstinence doesn’t work in America. It might work for Tim Tebow, ofthe NFL, but it’s not working all that well in the middle schools & high schoolsin the U.S.

NATION OF SHEEP‘Lima Golf’ — I hate to generalize or make something complexinto a nutshell statement, BUT I have an opinion.Many people do not think for themselves. They look to someoneelse to provide their opinions & answers. Once they have

relinquished responsibility for their own thoughts, they cling to these peoplelike ticks on a dog. This is where they get sustenance. This is how they seethe world — through other eyes. Why would people drift away from thepeople that provide all this? They stick with them & soon all the views thattheir spokesperson has are theirs, no matter how innocuous or wrong-headed. People who have accepted the views hang on to them. Not to do sowould negate that they have thoughts & an identity.

Even as I write this, I know that I sound much like the narrow-minded,hard-headed people that I am so much against! Ironic, isn’t it, that when wepush against something we can’t help but take on some of those characteris-tics.
