Rugby Sevens is the fastest growing sport and it’s one of the most thrilling games to watch! It’s fast, furious and action packed from start to finish with big hits and runaway tries in an great atmosphere.
The public’s support for Sevens has swelled in the last few years, with a growing diverse fan base following and watching at the tournaments. In 2016, Rugby Sevens will make its debut as an Olympic sport.
The international and UK based tournaments represent a unique commercial opportunity, through a combination of either sponsorship and/or corporate entertainment against the backdrop of intensive Sevens Rugby.
With a growing list of invitations from renowned tournaments across the world, it’s the chance for your company to be shown to live crowds as the Templars 7 RFC are looking for sponsorship partners.
Rugby Sevens – An Insight
The team consists of leading players from countries across the rugby world. Players with IRB Sevens International caps, Super 15, Aviva Premiership, Currie Cup, Top 14 and ITM Cup rugby honours.
We are a team with a different agenda, where in this professional environment that 7s has become, not only working hard on improving our game but also our core values as a team, like friendship and family.
A player can only be invited to become a Templar through friendship therefore, each Templar must have a link with a previous Templar and this truly creates a wonderful family environment. The friend and family ethos of the team, along with our efforts has helped us to become one of Europe's leading International Invitational teams. “Once a Templar always a Templar”.
In 2010, our efforts were recognized by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and we were made a Rugby Football Club (RFC) being renamed Templars7 RFC. We are one of only a handful of Invitational 7s teams that have been given this honour with the RFU.
Since 2009, the team has been very proud to be associated with the CGD Society after a personal tragedy struck close to home with a close friend of Robert Cain (coach & player). The Tournaments…
This year will see the Templars 7 RFC take part in the UK Super Sevens Series with 4 exciting tournaments throughout the UK from May To June. The Templars will be playing against Europe's elite 7 a side teams with both live crowd exposure and televised events which is a great opportunity for your company to grow in sporting circles and expose its brand in rugby 7s. This is a great opportunity to showcase your brand on domestic soil and raise your profile throughout the UK to raise your profile in the rugby world. With offers coming from around the world for new and exciting tournaments against the worlds best its a great opportunity to showcase your company to the worlds media across the globe where ever we travel. Coverage & Exposure…
Since 2009 we have managed to give a very small charity, CGD Society, more media exposure and growth within Rugby 7s than any other rugby charity such as Wooden Spoon, Help for Heroes, etc. Through our results, media coverage and live audiences at each event, we have managed to give the CGD Society an identity and cement them within the Rugby 7s community.
Not only at each event is your brand seen by thousands of live spectators, but you also have the chance to be recognised through online media and magazines , televised events, blogs across the Rugby Sevens community, and of course in programme notes at each event.
There is also local media coverage where ever we travel on TV, print , and online!
