We at the Vaughan Family Ranch would like to welcome you to our Annual Spring Bull Sale. This year marks our 43nd year in the Purebred Charolais Beef cattle business. We are proud to be a part of the Cattle Industry and value all of our customers past and present. We want to remain a source of quality genetics and be a seedstock producer that you can count on year after year.

We will be offering another nice set of age advantaged bulls for your evaluation. These Two Year old bulls will be able to go out and cover a lot of cows. We think there is added value based on the number of cows they will be able to cover this breeding season. We continue to grow the numbers of our fall long yearling bulls. This year we have a nice set of bulls out of some of the industry’s top sires. We also have a nice set of younger yearling bulls to balance out the sale. We continue to provide proven top genetics thru our AI and ET programs. We continue to expand our genetic offering with increased utilization of Embryo Transfer. We currently have Cooperative herds in the Salina, KS area, NE Oklahoma and SW Missouri. We look to continue these partnerships in the production of top Charolais Genetics for your future evaluation.

We have made a couple of changes to our sale this year. First is that the location of our bull sale has changed to the El Dorado Livestock facility in El Dorado, Kansas. We wanted to bring our annual sale closer to our livestock production region and when the opportunity came up to relocate our sale to the El Dorado facility, we thought it was good timing to relocate. We think this move will help producers in South Central / South Eastern Kansas and Northern Oklahoma get reacquainted with our program and visit our ranching operation and see our cattle in production.

The second change that we made this year was to partner with a proven Bull Development facility at Mann’s ATP in Potwin, KS. You may remember this facility as the location of the Kansas Bull test several years ago. We now have a custom bull development program at this location. The bulls are on a high roughage ration aimed at developing and producing a bull that can go out and perform in the pasture environment. They are not overly fed or fattened. We strive to produce sound, functional cattle by focusing on strong maternal characteristics as well as genetically stacked with growth performance, carcass merit and desirable phenotype.We plan to have videos of the bulls up on the website around March 23rd at www.vaughanfamilyranch.com

First-Year Breeding Guarantee: All bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam, including semen evaluation and are ready to go to work. All bulls are guaranteed to be sound through the first breeding season on physical attributes. This does not include disease or death.

Health: All sale lots are guaranteed virgin bulls. They will each undergo a breeding soundness evaluation and be semen checked. The bulls will have individual health papers on sale day. The vaccination protocol is for the bulls to received 20/20 Vision 7 Spur, IBR, BVD, PI3 vaccines and treated with Dextomax for paracitic control for their fall shots. Prior to the sale, the bulls will be vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold + VL5 and Dextomax.
