THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER DISTRICT) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND

STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT No. 8) ORDER 2012

The Kent County Council, in exercise of their powers under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1),45,46,49,53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part ID of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:­

A. The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Dover District) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2005 Shall have effect as though:

In the Articles of the Order ­

Limited Waiting Parking places

the following shall replace Article 37

SAVE as provided in Pm1 H of this Order no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or ofa Parking Atteridant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait in any parking place described in the numbered Schedule referred to in column 1 of the Table to this Article on the days and between the times (hereinafter referred to as "the said hours") specified in the corresponding column 3 ofthat item

(i) for a longer period than that specified in the cOlTesponding column 4, or

(ii) if a period of less than the time specified in the corresponding column 5 has elapsed since the termination during the said hours of the last period cif waiting '(if any) of the vehicle in that length of road.

41 SAVE as provided in Part H of this Order no person shall, except upon t he direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or of a parking attendant, caus e or permit any vehicle, other than a vehicle which is displaying in the relevant position

(i) a valid Parking Permit issued, or

(ii) a valid Visitors' Parking Permit validated in respect of that vehicle for the Zone in which that Parking Place is situated,

to wait in any parking place described in the numbered Schedule referre d to in column 1 of the Table to this Article on the days and between the times (hereinafter refelTe d to as "the said hours") specified in the corresponding column 3 of that item

(i) for a longer period than that specified in the corresponding column 4, or

(ii) if a period of less than the time specified in the cOITespondin g column 5 has elapsed since the termination during the said hours of the last period of waiting (if any) of the vehicle in that length of road.
