America/Child/Mediterranean gardens, is the dainty Star of Bethlehem ( ), an asparagus relaon. Slightly east, below a Blue Atlas Cedar and west of a Ornithogalum umbellatum Strawberry Tree (arbutus unedo) are the delicate Horned Tulips ( ). On the bark path through Chile, Tulipa acuminata the Corcolen Saw-Toothed Azara (Azara serrata), with its disncve leaves, is blooming. And in our Australian garden, opposite the Gunnera, the Ochre Whipcord Hebes ( James S rling) have put forth Veronica ochracea owers. Notes from the May 3rd walk (Plant Hunters and Living Fossils, led by Liese Goosen and Barbara Ebelt ), are now available at www.ericanotebook.com/gardener-walks.html If you tend to veer right and enter the Woodland Garden, you may want to change your guiding route just this once (or at least be sure to men on to guests that the walkway is well-worth a visit). Dodge photographers and drink in the beauty!

the event. This is the 33rd year for the event. Parking & some guiding routes will be affected.
