RE: Proposed BC Energy Step Code Changes - District of North Vancouver
We are seeking your input on some proposed changes to how the BC Energy StepCode is implemented in the District of North Vancouver, as part of our CommunityEnergy and Emissions Plan (CEEP).
Approved by Council on December 2, 2019, the CEEP identifies key actions to reduceenergy use and greenhouse gases in the community. One of these recommendedactions is to move up the Step Code ladder, as shown in the chart below, to help meetour energy and emissions reduction targets.
The BC Energy Step Code is a provincial standard that provides an incrementalapproach to achieving more energy-efficient buildings. The District of North Vancouverhas been implementing the Step Code since July 1, 2018.
