Alain Vigneault, 50, is the 16th Head Coach in franchise history. After being named to the position on June 20, 2006, he has led the Canucks toa Northwest Division title and postseason berth four times in five seasons with the club and won the Jack Adams Award as NHL Coach of theYear in 2007. Vigneault's combined regular season record (236-133-41) entering this season represents the most successful winningpercentage (0.626) by a Vancouver Head Coach, while his 236 career wins rank second all-time in franchise history.In 2010-11, Vigneault guided the club to a franchise best 54-19-9 record. He also led the club to its third consecutive Northwest Division titleand the highest points total (117) in franchise history. Vigneault led the Canucks to their third appearance in the Stanley Cup Final, coming onewin short of securing the franchise's first Stanley Cup Championship.
