Leadership Pathways
Do you advise, supervise, mentor or teach? The Leadership Pathways
program offers classes and opportunities to enhance leadership skills at
all levels. Take classes with physical, mental, social and spiritual topics
and get ready to help yourself and others.
Participants will receive credit and recognition at the Squadron, Group
and Wing levels. Achievements can also be used for career progression
as well bullets, awards, and professional resumes for spouses.

Getting Started
To start, browse through courses in this catalog and select the ones that
interest you. To achieve 1 Star status, select at least 2 courses from each
Course Pillar: Social, Mental, Spiritual and Physical, attend those courses
and track your participation. That’s it!
After you have reached 1 Star status, you can take any course from any
Course Pillar as long as you take the amount needed. Simple and easy.

John Gottman revolutionized the study of marriage by using rigorous scientific procedures
to observe the habits of happily married couples. In this class, participants will learn the
positive interactions happy couples practice and four common key problems that can lead
to divorce.
Taking the Mystery Out of Mutual Funds 9/9/2014 1200-1300
This class will provide information about mutual funds, IRA’s and TSP along with
Managing Investment Risk Tolerance and Evaluating Performance.
Team Builders 101 9/30/2014 1200-1245
This is a hands on class; attendees will participate and learn how to use 8 different
team builder activities that can be brought to their workplace. Teambuilding kits can
be checked out from your Community Support Coordinator. The featured team
builders this class include: 8 Person Trolley, Treacherous Platform, Circular Team
Toss, Diversity Dots, The Cube, Spider web, 4 Way Tug of War and the Team
Running Man. Class held in the Fitness Center.
Credit Check (Free Credit Report) Walk In A&FRC
Come into the A&FRC and receive a free credit report and learn how to review it.
Session will also discuss what creditors are looking for and how to improve your
score.

The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the workplace applies the love language concept
to the workplace. This class is based on the book, and will help supervisors and
managers effectively communicate appreciation and encouragement to their
employees, resulting in higher levels of job satisfaction, healthier relationships
between managers and employees, and decreased cases of burnout.

We are not just going to learn about the Gold Standard, we are going to apply it! The
class will study the 12 key points from 2008 Olympic Team USA Coach K (Mike
Krzyzewski) on how to build a world-class team. This 4 part class will run thru fall 14’ and
the spring 15’. This course is meant to provide tools to use in the workplace, this is not
an endorsement series it is a skill builder series. Participants will review 3 steps each
quarter so that they may have time to apply them at their work place. Participants will
receive a “Gold Standard” kit to help them get started.

Natural Running (2 hours/credits) Participants will have their running form
analyzed, discuss the principles of natural running, running shoes & practice form
and strength drills. Participants will leave class with a diagnosis and plan to

This 3 day course is held quarterly. It is open to Active Duty, Reserve, Guard,
Civilians and Dependents. Attendees receive a certificate of completion once
they have completed the course. Graduates will assist in teaching others through
CC/Calls, Wingman Day, Peer to Peer teaching and more. This training is great
for professional development, bullets, and resumes! The goal of this class is to
introduce to the audience the definition of resilience, a foundation, skills to build
it and use it.

This class is for members who have completed the master resilience trainer
course or the resilience training assistant course. Dr Martin E. Seligman is the
founder of Positive Psychology, one of the key concepts in the Air Force
resilience program. This class will review the main points of Learned Optimism to
enhance resilience trainer toolbox kits.
