The VanCryst™ Media Matrix Solution is a combination of the VM0808T 8x8 Cat 5 A/V Matrix Switch and the

VE500 / VE300 A/V Over Cat 5 Extender. The VM0808T is a Matrix Switch that routes and distributes audio,

video, and RS-232 signals over distances of up to 300 m with 1280x1024 video resolution. The VM0808T can

receive data from up to 8+1 audio/video sources and transmit data to up to 8+1 audio/video displays. A

single computer's audio/video output can be routed to one or more destinations. The VM0808T offers several

convenient ways to access and control the source devices: locally, with front panel pushbuttons and an RS-232/

RS-485 serial port; and remotely, over the Internet with a browser-based web page interface.

The VM0808T / VE500 / VE300 combination is an ideal solution when long runs to the A/V output locations

FEATURES

High Quality Long Distance Transmission

The VM0808T solution permits HD video signals to be transmitted over distances of up to 300 meters. Differential signal balancing provides high quality A/V performance, while use of twisted pair cables inhibits common-mode noise.

Flexible distance

The maximum transmission distance between VE500T and VE500R/RQ is 300 m. VM0808T can be located anywhere within 300 m. The local video output on VM0808T does not support Deskew function. If the local video output is needed, the distance between VE500T and VM0808T should be within 150 m to get the best video quality on the local video output port.

Patented Deskew Technology

Supports the manual synchronization of RGB signals and corrects color phase and timing errors that occur over large distances.

Independent Audio / Video Focus

Each input can be independently connected to any or all outputs. Audio and video signals can be transmitted independently – the audio focus can be sent to one destination, while the video focus can be sent to another.

Superior Balanced Audio Quality

The balanced audio connector consists of three wires – two carrying the signal and a shield/ground conductor. It uses XLR connectors or a 1/4“ TRS jacks for connection, and provides the highest quality balanced audio.

Built-In Power Supply

The VM0808T solution features a full range power supply built right in to the chassis – eliminating the inconvenience, unsightliness, and wasted space found with bulky external power bricks.

In addition to its remote A/V functions, the VM0808T also provides direct connections to a local device via its Local Input and Local Output ports. These ports enable A/V communication to devices installed locally – without the need for transmitters or receivers.

Flexible Configuration and Control

In addition to its access and control functions, the VM0808T's serial port can also be used to connect serial peripheral devices, such as touch screens, bar code scanners, etc. When you select one source and transmit the A/V, RS-232 signals to multiple display devices, only the lower port number of receiving device gets the RS-232 control.

Supports 16 User Connection Profiles

The VM0808T allows you to store up to 16 different connection profiles that can be saved and recalled later by both the front panel pushbuttons and the Browser GUI.

Flexible Configuration and ControlFor flexibility and convenience, the VM0808T can be accessed remotely as well as locally. Remote access,

configuration, and control is accomplished over the Internet through a browser-based web page interface

Local Access

The VM0808T features front panel pushbuttons, serial controller (RS-232/-485/-422) and an LCD display

panel for convenient configuration and operation at the local site. This allows you to perform operations

audio and video levels, and setting security information.

Remote Access (Browser-based GUI)

from anywhere on the LAN, WAN, or Internet, remote operators can log in via any Web browser from any
