Mayor of LondonBoris Johnson
The latest ¡Vamos! – London’s Guide to the Latin Summer offers an exhaustive listing of Latin American-themed events. London is fortunate to have such sizeable Spanish and Portuguese speaking communities, and this guide successfully captures the cultural activities associated with these dynamic groups. I would like to encourage all Londoners to take advantage of this resource.
I was particularly pleased that the Greater London Authority worked very closely with the Embassy of Mexico in the successful launch of The Year of Mexico in the UK 2015 in January. This excellent event saw the opening of the photo exhibition, Invisible Mexico – images through senses, as well as a reception to showcase all the other great activities planned for the coming year. There is little doubt that these Mexican-themed events will inspire Londoners as will those listed in the ¡Vamos! guide.
Thanks also to Como No and JungleDrums on their efforts to pull together this brilliant resource.
Yours sincerely,
FROM THE MAYOR
