VALLOX 1000SUPPLY AIR HEATER FOR DUCTSuitable for preheating outdoor air coming to theventilation unit, as an alternative to freezingprotection, which stops the supply air fan.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION1. Supply air heater2. Supply air ductwork3. Silencing4. Cooker hood5. Roof ventilator6. Extract air ductwork

From rooms into which air is directed with asupply air heater, air must be able to flow freelyinto rooms from which air is extracted. This isnecessary in order to ensure efficient air circulation. This is implemented through door vents or otheropenings.

The switch of the heater lights upwhen the chosen heating power isswitched on.

• Suitable as a replacement air device for extract air systems• Works with a small pressure difference• Power: 500W + 1000W = 1500W• 3 electric resistors 500 W• Adjustment of the temperature of the air coming inside with a thermostat• Outdoor air can be introduced without draught to bedrooms, for instance• Equipped with an outdoor air grease filter• Plug connection• Protection class IP 30• Weight 10 kg

Pressure loss in the supply air heater• The pressure loss in the ductwork is always added to the pressure loss of

the supply air heater indicated in the curves.• Example: If there is no information on pressure loss in the ductwork, it may

be assumed to be the same as the pressure loss in the supply air heater. As an example, when the aim is to get 18 dm3/s of air into the dwelling,a vacuum of 3 Pa + 3 Pa= 6 Pa is needed in the dwelling, and it isattained with e.g. an extract fan.

LOCATION

Warm outdoor air circulation isenhanced when the supply air heater islocated as low down as possible.

Wind impact may beprevented with a windprotective panel.

If cold air (colder than 10 °C) is led to the supply airducts in winter, the ducts have to be insulated by atleast 20-mm insulation, covered by a tight plastic film.

CHANGING HANDEDNESS• To change handedness, turn the envelope part.• Air flows in from the side of the filter from the Ø 160 mm outlet.• Mount the sensors at points where they are required for air flow (see the figure).

- Be careful when moving the sensors.

MAINTENANCE• The heater and the filters have to be cleaned at least once a year.

- Clean the inner pats carefully with e.g. a vacuum cleaner.• Clean the filter with lukewarm (less than 40 °C) water and detergent. When needed

replace the filter. Using the heater without filter is prohibited.

• Suitable as a preheater of outdoor air introduced to the ventilation unit• Suitable for heating outdoor air entering to the ventilation system• Heating power 1000 W, equipped with a safety thermostat• Can be mounted in a cold room• Air temperature adjusted with a separate thermostat• Equipped with outdoor air grease filter• Plug connection• Electric resistor 1000 W, 230 VAC, 50 Hz, 4.5 A• Direction of air flow can be changed• Overheat protection 90 °C• Protection class IP 34• Air flow inside the heater can vary freely and even go down to zero; the

heater does not need separate air flow guarding• The heater has an in-built limiting thermostat that prevents unnecessary heating

if air flow has ceased or during summer. (Factory setting 15–18 °C,post-setting enabled in the range 0–40 °C.)

INSTALLATION EXAMPLENOTE! The heater can beinstalled in only one position:the arrow on the panelupwards.
