Sunday June 21st Air Conditioner Units…Tenants requiring assistance installing their portable air conditioner may request such by submitting a work request to the Valley High 2 office. As a reminder, the seasonal Air Conditioning fee is $200. Once a request has been submitted please allow for at least 3 business days, for staff to attend your unit to install your air conditioner unit. Few things can match the enjoyment of a barbecueShould you choose to use an electric BBQ on your balcony, please keep in mind: these appliances must bear the Canadian Standards Association, CSA, certification mark. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions! Extension cords must be certified for outdoor use, have a three-prong grounding plug and be rated for the amperage that is required by the barbecue. The cord must be unplugged when not in use and out of the way to prevent tripping! Absolutely no propane BBQ’s on balconies! Cigarette/Marijuana SmokeOur office continues to receive complaints about cigarette/marijuana smoke odours filtering in to common areas and other tenant’s units. As a reminder, tenants, Guests and Visitors are not permitted to smoke within rental units which includes balconies, unless you fall under an old Residential Tenancy Agreement. There are over 130 other units within Valley High and some tenants suffer from COPD and other health issues. Please try to be considerate of your neighbours and avoid smoking in your unit, as it substantially interferes with the reasonable enjoyment of the premises by other tenants…Thank you!!! Dog Owners and Your Responsibility… Please remember to pick up after you dog(s). There are waste bags and buckets at each end of the property, and is not up to other tenants or Staff members to clean up your dog(s)waste!! And please keep your dog(s) controlled on a short leash at ALL TIMES when walking them anywhere inside and outside the property. Not all tenants, guests and visitors are pet lovers, so please do not let your dog(s) approach other tenants, unless they are invited to. COVID-19 and Office Update… These past few months have been very trying for everyone, as wetry to adjust to the new “normal”. The staff at Cherney Properties would like to thank all of our Tenants at Valley High II for continuing to practice social distancing and patience while our office remains closed for the time being. • 4 cans (355 mL each) ginger ale• 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice• 4 tsp Kool- Aid Watermelon Liquid

Drink MixCombine ingredients in plastic or glass pitcher Serve immediately over ice in tall glasses...Enjoy! 6 servings, 1 cup (250ml) each…only 5 minutes to make!!

Sunshine Swizzle Punch What You Need

• 2 pouches Crystal Light Lemonade Low Calorie DrinkMix

• 3 bottles (1 L each) club soda, chilled• 1 can (355 mL) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed• 1 tub (1 L) raspberry sherbet

Mix first 3 ingredients in punch bowl until drink mix is dissolved. Add scoops of sherbet and Serve immediately. 18 servings or 4.5 L, 1 cup (250 mL) each…5 minutes to make!!!

*COVID-19 Precautions for Multi-unit Residential Buildings…Tenants – How to Protect YourselfCoronaviruses are spread mainly from person to person through close contact, for example, in households and in shared common spaces, including mailrooms, laundry rooms, hallways and elevators. At this time there is no vaccine available to protect against the 2019 novel coronavirus, but there are actions you can take to help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses.

Everyday Actions… There are many things that you can do to prevent and limit the spread of COVID-19, particularly by facilitating proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. Take these everyday steps to reduce exposure to the virus and protect your health:

• wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer• sneeze and cough into your sleeve• avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth• avoid contact with people who are sick• stay home if you are sick• Continue normal dishwashing practices. Do not share dishes, drinking glasses, cups or utensils.• You can make use of the yard and outdoor space immediately surrounding the residential

setting if you can maintain physical distancing.• When possible, only leave your apartment for urgent appointments or supplies.

Elevator tips and Precautions… As many people use the elevator, please use the following tips for a safer ride:

1. Practice Social Distancing – Remain 2 meters apart.2. Do not touch your face after contact with elevator buttons. Wash hands with soap or use

disinfectant alcohol.3. Avoid overcrowding – Maximum of 2 passengers (unless in the same household).4. Refrain from Talking with other passengers.5. Do not lean on walls.

Note: Do not push elevator buttons with sharp objects such as umbrella, cane and keys.
