COM PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER Valley City Public School District Valley City, North Dakota Athletic Complex at Hanna Field The Valley City Public School District requests a statement of qualification from qualified parties to provide con- struction management services for p roposed improvements to th e school’s facilities in Valley City, ND. The project plans and specifications have yet not been finalized, but the general scope of the project will in- clude improvements to the existing Hanna Field athletic complex, includ- ing track replacement, drainage, and buildings. Final project scope will be determined with the architect and construction manager, based on pri- orities and available funding. Project budget is estimated to be in the $1.0 t o $1.5 million range, including al l design fees, equipment, and contin- gencies. Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring, 2018 and complete by August 1, 2018. The project architect will generally be responsible for such preconstruction services as project budget, cost es- timates, design, and bid documents with input from the construction man- ager. The construction manager is ex- pected to participate in the budget es- timate development, constructability review, scheduling, and the develop- ment of the bid packages and docu- ments. The architect together with the construction manager will be gener- ally responsible for the bid review, bid t abulation, recommendations, and contract documents. During construc- tion, the construction manager, to- gether with the architect, will monitor the budget. The construction man- ager will be generally responsible for the usual and customary construction coordination, scheduling, and alloca- tion of construction activities among t he multiple contractors. The con- struction manager will review re- quests for payment for verification of materials delivered and work com- pleted, sign and approve, and submit to the architect for review and approv- al. The responsibilities of the construc- tion manager for this project will be in- cluded in a written agreement based on a modified version of AIA C132- 2009 Standard Form Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager As Adviser. The proposed modified AIA C132-2009 is available for review upon request. As part of your response to the re- quest for qualifications, we ask that you provide us with the following in- formation which will form the basis of school district’s selection: 1. Description of your company, loca- t ion of the business, and years i n business. 2. Personal qualifications and re- sources, including personnel you would use in your management of this project. 3. Willingness to meet time and budget requirements set forth in this request. 4. Previous experience in projects of similar size, scope and nature, spe- cifically, involvement in projects re- l ated to a sports complex such as t his. 5. Your recent, current, and projected workloads. 6. Copy of current certificate of insur- ance, including workers compensa- tion. Copy of the most recent experi- ence modification rate for workers compensation. 7. Copy of current class A Nort h Dakota contractor’s license. 8. Proof of ability to secure a perform- ance bond in an amount equal to your proposal for construction manage- ment services. 9.
