South East European Forum on Orthopaedics and Traumatology
Welcome to the SEEFORT 2017 WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear colleagues and friends,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to join us in beautiful Dubrovnik for the 2nd “South East
European Forum on Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SEEFORT)”. Inspired and ecouraged
with the overwhelmingly positive response from partners and attendants of the first SEEFORT
meeting in Dubrovnik 2015, The Croatian Forum on Orthopaedics and Traumatology (CROFORT)
and The Croatian Orthopaedic Society of the Croatian Medical Association (CrOS CMA) have
decided to continue the pursuit of the international exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The Forum will take place in Dubrovnik, a unique city which radiates with quiet elegance and
sumptuous beauty. With almost 1,300 years of rich history, the City of Dubrovnik has proudly
joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Here, where the Adriatic Sea softly kisses the
shore and the romantic spirit pervades every corner, buildings that still evoke the beauty of the
old aristocracy were erected. Even today, many centuries later, Dubrovnik, like a beautiful lady,
enjoys in her riches and fullness of life.
Once again, on behalf of your Croatian hosts, we welcome you with the conviction that our
Forum will prove to be the place to revive old friendships and form new ones, and hope that you
will find it a stimulating, informative and a pleasurable learning experience.
See you in Dubrovnik!

This Forum’s goal is to present the latest scientific and clinical innovations in the field
of orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. We also propose hands-on-workshops for
clinicians, OR personnel, as well as sessions dedicated to residents and nurses. Once
more, the Forum will be a multidisciplinary program of research and practice, giving
the opportunity to interact and share clinical and research experiences with colleagues
from the orthopaedic and musculoskeletal community. Prominent domestic and
international speakers will provide comprehensive, up-to-date, research-based answers
to the most frequent questions that arise in this rapidly evolving field of medicine. As
a special opening, the 4th edition of the International Conference on Regenerative
Orthopaedics will be offered on Thursday, sharing new insights from the field of basic
and translational science.
The size and diversity of the SEEFORT meeting is reflected in the presentations covering
fields of sports medicine / arthroscopy, upper extremity, muscoloskeletal infections,
revision hip and knee arthroplasty, primary and revision ACL surgery, spine and
thromboprophylaxis. We are proud to welcome our guest societies
and partners.
