2.HOUSINGSENIOR CITIZEN APARTMENT COMPLEXYELAHANKA, BANGALORE

The project kicked off with understanding the social and psychological mind of the user group. The main focus of the design was to create a socially active, secure and positive housing environment catering to 80 senior citizen families. The open landscaped areas interspersed between the clusters are nodes for active social interaction, which eliminate any redundant or negative space in the site.The site is typically inward looking with each of the apartments facing the bustling activities .The design of the clusters reflect traditional concepts of courtyards and verandahs as transitioning elements from the public to private.
