0Message of the Month of Capricorn

Sun entering the tenth house of the zodiac is a celebration. Capricorn is celebrated in every school of wisdom by every student. The event of Sun’s entry into Capricorn marks the winter solstice. The Sun seemingly takes a U-turn for northern coursing. Such U-turn eventually brings the needed Light of knowledge and of comprehension. It marks the birth of the saviour in the sense that the soul in the northern journey saves itself from the utter darkness of the nether regions.Every disciple needs to associate with the Sun’s transit and experience the related Light and Life from Sahasrara to Muladhara and from Muladhara to Sahasrara. Such conscious coursing attuning with the Sun’s transit of zodiacal signs enables formation of the path of Sushumna and building of the Antahkarana Sarira. The golden and the diamond rays of Sun are the essential ingredients for building of Antahkarana Sarira and hence, the importance of relating to the Sun. All world religions at all times re-lated to Sun for their upliftment until recent times. In the present times, men relate to personal gods and gurus more than relating to the invalu-able rays of morning and evening Sun. Least they realize that even these personal gods and gurus also carry in them, the same solar Light. Only a handful of them would be able to guide humanity while many cannot.The sun rays emerging from morning-evening Sun are known as the blood of the Saviour while the Sun is the Saviour. It is this blood of the Saviour that lifts up humanity. This is the ancient understanding which is jealously propagated now in the name of Jesus, the Initiate. Blood of a human – an initiate is not enough to save the world. It is the eternal blood supply happening from Sun that enables evolution of the Earth and the beings of the Earth.

May the aspirants relate to the morning and evening sunlight in general and in particular, in the month of Capricorn. May Capricorn unveil the Light within and help yet another cycle of experience

Illusion of Life

When sleep comes, comfort for sleep becomes irrelevant. When hunger emerges, the quality of the dining plate becomes irrelevant. When wea-ther is in its extremes, niceties of clothing are irrelevant. Looking for comforts of sleep, of food, of clothing and of retreat is but an Illusion. When sleep arrives, men sleep even on floor. When hunger arrives, men eat food even by holding the two palms together. When weather is in ex-tremities, men do not look for branded clothing. When the mind sets to retreat, it retreats wherever it is. Looking for star-hotels, sea sides, moun-tain peaks and valleys and even caves is but Illusion. Waste not time chasing Illusions of food, clothing, shelter and retreat.

Pursuit of Yoga

“Alternatingly, the student of Yoga may be reborn in a family of Yogis for continuation of Yoga which is but a rare opportunity.” (6/31)

A sincere student of Yoga when he dies while in the process of Yoga would thus either be reborn in a family of righteous wealth to pursue Yoga or be born in a family of Yogis. The latter birth is but rare. But when it happens, the new-born student would straightaway pursue the path of Yoga since it does not involve searching again for the threads of Yoga which he left in the last birth. Only advanced students of Yoga gain this facility of reincarnating in a Yogic family. By this, even by fifth or tenth year, he would recall his past traits and pursue the path of Yoga from very earlier stages of life. It becomes easier since life would be carved out from the beginning into Yogic way of living. This is the most prestigious birth that every student of Yoga would cherish. In the former case, when one is reincarnated in a family of righteous wealth, one has to search to find the last traits of Yoga. For such ones, re-entry into Yoga starts later, for it involves a search for the path. It also has the vulnerability of falling into the pleasures of wealth which would further delay the time of entry. Therefore, the Lord says the rebirth in the family of Yogis is the rarest of the rare opportunities. In any case, entering the path of Yoga and pursu-ing it sincerely marks the beginning of the evolution of the soul which is otherwise stuck in the wheel of innumerable births and deaths.

Dharma

Creation functions on the parameters of Dharma (The Law of Nature). Dharma is the judge. Dharma is the regulator. Dharma is not goodness. Goodness that deviates from Dharma creates consequences. Men of goodwill are those who know Dharma and conduct as per goodwill. When Dharma is at stake, men of goodwill cannot be neutral and silent. They necessarily protest, detest, and even resist. They do not allow inju-stice. Valiant defence against injustice is an essential ingredient of good-will work. One cannot be lame in matters of Dharma.

The Ring of Saturn

Be not afraid towards expansion of consciousness. Every expansion re-quires breaking apart an existing limitation. The chick in the egg cannot expand itself into the world if it is afraid of the action. It necessarily needs to break to find its freedom. So also an aspirant needs to break the meaningless customs, traditions, superstitious beliefs and other shackles of the society. Every attempt to break arouses opposition but, unless undesirables are broken, expansion cannot be achieved, new conscious-ness cannot prevail. We insist on limitless striving towards expansion of consciousness to reach the unusual state of awareness from where all is visible.

Only the fire of the heart has the sparks to kindle the hearts. The creative givers emerge only from the heart but not from the mind. Mind is but an organizer but not a creator. Even for the mind, the vital power is supplied by the heart. Manifestations emerge from the heart and are organized by the mind. The fire of the heart uplifts the surroundings while that of the mind burns things around.Verily, we say unto you ‘tend to live in the heart, think from the heart and keep the fire in the heart aflame at all times’.

The Unity of Deity

Esotericism, pure and simple, speaks of no personal God; therefore are we considered as Atheists. But, in reality, Occult Philosophy, as a whole, is based absolutely on the ubiquitous presence of God, the Absolute Deity; and if IT itself is not speculated upon, as being too sacred and yet incomprehensible as a Unit to the finite intellect, yet the entire Philosophy is based upon Its Divine Powers as being the Source of all that breathes and lives and has existence. In every ancient Religion the ONE was demonstrated by the many. In Egypt and India, in Chaldea and Phoenicia, and finally in Greece, the ideas about Deity were expressed by multiples of three, five and seven; and also by eight, nine and twelve great Gods, which symbolized the powers and properties of the One and Only Deity. This was related to that infinite subdivision by irregular and odd numbers to which the metaphysics of these nations subjected their ONE DIVINITY. Thus constituted, the cycle of the Gods has all the qua-lities and attributes of the ONE SUPREME AND UNKNOWABLE; for in this collection of divine Personalities, or rather of Symbols personified, dwells the ONE GOD, the GOD ONE, that God which, in India, is said to have no Second.O God Ani [the Spiritual Sun], thou residest in the agglomeration of thy divine personages.These words show the belief of the ancients that all manifestation pro-ceeds from one and the same Source, all emanating from the one iden-tical Principle which can never be completely developed except in and through the collective and entire aggregate of Its emanations.


The Pleroma of Valentinus is absolutely the Space of Occult Philosophy; for Pleroma means the “Fullness,” the superior regions. It is the sum total of all the Divine manifestations and emanations expressing the plenum or totality of the rays proceeding from the ONE differentiating on all the planes, and transforming themselves into Divine Powers, called Angels and Planetary Spirits in the Philosophy of every nation. The Gnostic Eons and Powers of the Pleroma are made to speak as the Devas and the Siddhas of the Puranas. The Epinoia, the first female manifestation of God, the “Principle” of Simon Magus and Saturninus, holds the same language as the Logos of Basilides; and each of these is traced to the pu-rely esoteric Aletheia, the TRUTH of the Mysteries. All of them, we are taught, repeat at different times and in different languages the magnifi-cent hymn of the Egyptian papyrus, thousands of years old:

Body Conscious and Self Conscious

Esotericism, pure and simple, speaks of no personal God. Even light and sound are seen as symbols of God. Time is seen as yet another symbol. In the age of Kali, due to lesser understanding, man has given a name and also a form for God. Consequently, people are stuck with the names and forms. They have no more understanding of God. They only have names and forms to differentiate themselves and to fight with each other. Neither name nor forms or sound or light or time cycles are God. They are all expressions of God.Expressions of God are called symbols. God expresses in geometry. Therefore, geometrical symbols are also expressions. An expression of God is not God as such. Discipleship demands this understanding.Denying forms of God is not atheism. Yet, it is also not wisdom. True wis-dom denies nothing. It is all inclusive and not exclusive. Let not disciples fall into exclusivity in the name of their practices and their concepts of God.Electricity cannot be seen but it is experienced through its expres-sion. Electricity stands as the most near example to comprehend that which is called God in scriptures. Symbols are the means of expres-sion of God. Study of symbolism is originally meant to comprehend the God within and around but not to build doctrines of time-cycles called astrology, grammar (Vyakarana), Science of Occurrence(Shiksha), Science of Nature (Chandas), Science of Etymology (Nirukta), Science of Manifestation and Demanifestation (Kalpa).Discipleship is not only to master the above dimensions but to humbly apply those dimensions for experiencing the one Truth and the one God, in whom all live, move and have their being

4. Dasa Nada Bheda Vinodakam

The one that rejoices the ten sounds

Ten are the numbers. Ten are the states. Ten are the planes of Existence. Every number, every plane has its own sound. Ten are the Prajapatis who conduct the cycles. Ten times ten the wheel rotates. The creation is explained with the numbers 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 as a basis. In a tenfold division we find the

1. Absolute God2. Male-Female God who presides over the creation3. First Logos4. Second Logos5. Third Logos6. The plane of Akasha or Sound7. The plane of Vayu or TouchB. The plane of Fire or Sight9. The plane of Water or Taste10. The plane of gross Matter or Smell

Into all these planes the creation happens; the Teacher is familiar with all these states. He knows the Laws of each of these planes, the related in-telligences and the related chemistry. He also knows their longevity (time cycles). He has the right relation to every plane. He sounds the right note in every plane and rejoices. To him whole creation is a tenfold sound


board. He can relate to a note of the sound board. He helps the student also with the help of this knowledge.These ten states of awareness put together is known as Dattatreya, who is the Teacher. A Teacher who realises these ten is a representative of the Teacher, Dattatreya, who is also called Jagad Guru. The Grand Master Pythagoras describes the principle of Dattatreya with the concept of decad. The Pythagorean decad has in it ten points arranged in a triangu-lar form. Each of these points vibrates with a different number potency, sound vibration, colour velocity and form manifestation. Experiencing the Pythagorean decad in its totality makes man a Master.The ten sounds are traditionally said to be: the sound of AUM, the sound of the drum, trumpet, flute, conch, veena, bell, mrudanga, the sound of the anklet and the sound of the bangles. All these can emerge from One.

Very early in the morning I recollect the holy sandals of the Master in the inner chamber of my heart.

SMELL / GROSS PHYSICAL MATTER The Water that subjects to change through the taste causes the birth of smell. The smell causes the birth of solid matter. To know the smell the nose is formed.Although the knowledge of smell is one, due to variety of matter forma-tions, variety of smells manifest. They are:1. Spicy smells2. Rotten smells3. Flavoured and favoured smells such as incense, camphor, sandal etc.4. Flowery smells5. Strong smells such as garlic6. Stale smell

The permutation and the combination of matter multiply the above smells as between them.The characteristics of the solid matter are1. To stabilise form2. To stand stable3. To support / contain water, fire, air and ether4. To support / contain another form5. To separate ether, air, fire and water and make way for its existence.6. To be a channel for the externalisation of spirit by forming into bo-


dies.

The special qualities of the five elements apart from the ones stated above are:1. Sound for Akasha (ether) - the ear senses it2. Touch for air - the skin senses it3. Sight for brilliance (light / fire) - the eye senses it4. Taste for water - the tongue senses it5. Smell for solid matter - the nose senses it

Sound is the only quality of the Akasha. Air carries sound and touch. (While Akasha cannot create touch, it creates air that is responsible for touch). The fire carries sound, touch and form. The water carries sound, touch, sight and taste. The matter (solid) carries all the five qualities, na-mely, sound, touch, sight, taste and smell.

Fire

Electric Fire

Thus, nilness is the basis for fullness. Fullness is a spring up from that which is called nilness. Thus, this spur in Creation and the spur that happens in us every morning is an electrical function and is described in the scriptures as Electric Fire. That Fire exists in the Cosmos and that Fire exists in our brain cells. Please remember, the brain cells are electric. Sahasrara is electric, it’s outermost or most externalised point is Ajña. It comes out as a point of light.Thus, Agni is the Foremost One. Beyond Agni there is nothing to be com-prehended, because beyond Agni there is no one to comprehend. There should be a secondary state to observe the primary state. In deep sleep state, what is it we observe? In slumber, Existence is there but the awa-reness of Existence is not. In that slumber state, awareness is latent and unmanifest. It is a state of Pure Existence. That is called the "God beyond Creation", the "Absolute God".When the spur comes, from that slumber there is the awakening. That cause of awakening is the "Foremost One", and that should be under-stood as Agni. The ancients believed in worshipping Agni because, He is the Foremost One and all other Cosmic Intelligences including the Consciousness, which is called the Light, is the Light of the Cosmic Spur, the Light of Agni.


Thus, even the Cosmic Light is secondary to it. The Light of Awareness de-tails into a trinity as: Cosmic Will, Cosmic Love and Cosmic Intelligence. Even before the trinity, there is the Cosmic Consciousness, and even for the birth of that Cosmic Consciousness there is the need of the spur. It is that spur that brings the Essence into the creational process. It has itself become Agni and manifests as the Cosmic Light and further manifests as the Cosmic First, Second and Third Logos. Then the Cosmic Devas un-fold, and conduct the sacrifice of the Essence (the pure existence) with the help of Agni. Agni is the one who has to bring the Essence from the unknown circles to the known circles of the Cosmic Light and creation.

By mere act of touching the Cow daily one gets purified. If one serves the Cow one gets wealthy. If one donates Cow to the needy the result is

inner Joy.

Prayers and Meditation

Question: Master, we hear that meditation is better than prayer. Prayer kills self-reliance. We seek clarification.

Answer: Prayer has several meanings. Prayer for self-propitiation tends one to be a beggar. Prayer for alignment enables one to be a saint. Prayers can also be invocation for general good. They can be incanta-tions for general welfare. Prayers are effective ways of blessing the sur-roundings.But most of the people are intensely selfish and pray only for themselves. Praying for themselves is asking for themselves. It is no different than begging. Instead of asking for things, it is wise to work for things. When people only ask for things and do not work for them, they lose self-reli-ance. Such practices result in building communities of beggars. Working for daily bread is better than praying for it. Having worked and having gained bread, one can express thankfulness for having been given bread. Even while one works, when bread is given, thankfulness should be ex-pressed. This is because our outflow of work and inflow of bread are not so very directly connected. Expressing thankfulness for every inflow and striving during the entire wakeful hours is therefore recommended by knowers. The invocations and incantations are also a mode of working for general good.Apart from the above, there can be a prayer for alignment with the unli-mited within oneself and around oneself. Such alignment enables influx of love, will and ability to act. When prayers are for alignment, the other name given to it is meditation.

4. The Solar Fire

The Construction of the Antahkarana and the Jewel in the Lotus 1

See, when there is an interaction with the triangular flame and the ma-nas and the three-fold body, then this activity is called 'the process of building Antahkarana'. This word has now become very popular in the West – Antahkarana. It is more popular in the West than in the East to-day. If you ask a spiritualist in the Orient about Antahkarana, he may not be able to explain in such details as a Western student can explain. But he can function better with respect to the instructions. There is the dif-ference in that. That is why in the Orient more and more manifestations of light happen. I am not trying to degrade the West. The technique has become very old there, and has become almost a daily life affair. If once a technique is known to the Westerns, they are better executers than the Orientals. Yes, the Orientals are good in ideation, but the Occidentals are excellent in execution. To bring light down, it is easy. Manifestation is easier for the human being in the Occident. Once the technique is given, they do it better, because – what we call the 7th ray activity – is very, very effective in the Occident. That is why the Sons of Light are orienting more and more towards the Occident to give this technology. So, this is a good industry to prepare the bodies of light, for which we have already the land, and also the ma-chinery, and also the supervisors and the workers called the physical or-gans and the sensual organs. And the manager is also available through the mental unit. And then the board of advisers are also available as Manasa Devas. So, the whole industrial structure is very much available


to manufacture the body of light.And the Masters of Wisdom have given the know-how without cost. There are no collaborate agreements to get know-how. It is given with much love and compassion, so that it can be worked out. So, this triangle is a nucleus for the future formation of Antahkarana in a human unit. Depending upon the effective functioning of the trian-gle, the body of Antahkarana is built. What is Antahkarana? It is also a Sanskrit word. More often in the Western books, we see 'Antaskarana'. It is not the right word. Antahkarana is the right word. 'Karana' means implement, 'Antah' means internal implements. 'Antahkarana' means in-ternal implements. The internal implements are the triangle of flame, the flame emitting from the centre of the egoic lotus which is protected or concealed by the bud of the fourth interior triangle of the egoic lotus. The flame is the most internal implement, and then the presence of Manasa Devas is another internal implement which interacts with the mental unit which is the most interior of the body of the human being. So, the nucleus for the Antahkarana body is the flame which is in the centre of the egoic lotus which illumines as a triangular force on account of the most interior petals still covering it. So, that works through the Manasa Devas upon the mental unit. Slowly, there is the increase in the measure of light in between the three, and then a beautiful body of light is formed, in which man establishes himself. That is the indestructible body of the man, the body of light. This is what descends into the body of Jesus, because He is an evolved soul, it is already there. He says many times: "My glorious white robe of strength." Many people thought that they can also have a white robe over their body. The glorious white robe of the Master Jesus is that which is built inside as the body of light, and it is an Antahkarana body com-pletely built of light waves. Please, remember light is also matter. But that is the subtlest of the matter. And that cannot be destroyed. When that body is completely built, thereafter man changes bodies but continues to remember his existence. Recollection of the past lives is possible for the one who has built the body of light. Till that time, it is not possible. When that body is formed, with much facility, they can move out and move in. That is how those whom we know as the Sons of Light keep moving, kee-ping their physical at rest. They appear to the people either in meditation or in dream, when that body is built and give definite instructions. Their


movement is very definite. At will they can move with that body.

For all living beings on this Earth there are three afflictions: the afflic-tion of the elements, the affliction of one's own deeds and the affliction of one's own vehicles. By knowing this, how can you develop hatred towards any being who is already suffering? When beings think of them-selves, they lose their power, because it is limited to them. By giving pleasure to other beings, at least you are giving them strength. If you hate them you make them feeble. When beings bear long-standing hatred towards each other, and bear enmity towards each other, they are to be pitied. They are suffering from illusion. Thus the wise will understand it. Hence they do not hate anyone. You are demons as long as you have different points of view. You come to a common understanding by virtue of my narration. Therefore listen to me when I speak the truth. The one who fills all beings is the Lord of pervasion. All this world around you should be observed as oneself. The wise treat others as they treat themselves without any difference. As I am so you are. Know this and be free from your demon nature. All of us the-refore strive towards ultimate salvation. Know that the one who you are is not burnt by fire, dried by the sun, moistened by the moon, blown up by the wind or affected by the rain god, the water god, the siddhas or the giants or the yakshas or the snakes or the kinneras or the human beings or the hearts. Remember also that the one who you are is not affected by your own deeds, by fever, kindness, famine, pestilence or any disease. The one who you are cannot be affected by malice, jealousy, enmity, af-fections, poverty or covetousness. The one who you are is not touched by


any filth, cannot be stolen by anyone. Offer your heart to the one who is in your heart. You will attain him and you will be himself. The essence of all is the one flow of pervasion, the pools in it are all illusion. Attain the one by observing equality. Worship of the Lord in all beings is the real sense of equality. When he showers his favour upon you, there is nothing that you do not get. If you wor-ship the law, the dutifulness, the meaningfulness and the enjoyability of anything independently, you do not get anything. Take shelter under the Tree of Totality that pervades everything and be sure that the fruit of libe-ration will come down to you from the tree."

I give one example from my life: I had a professional friend. He is 15 years elder than me. When I was 27, he was 42 years of age. He lived in Delhi. I happened to meet him during one of my professional assi-gnments in Delhi. Due to our frequent meetings, he developed a lot of confidence in me though I was younger to him by 15 years. One day he asked me, if I could see the will and the testament that he had prepared. That is what people prepare in anticipation of death. When man thinks that it is likely that he would pass away, he gives a disposition of his properties. It is called ‘the will’ in the legal terminology. He showed it to me. He had a wife and two children, and he distributed the properties to them. I went through the will, and then he asked, “What do you say about it?” I told him, “Before I say anything about it, I want to know why you ha-ve written it?” He said, “The astrologers told me that I would die in my forty-third year. And I verified with three, four other astrologers. They all said between the forty-second and the forty-fifth year I would die, and that it would be better to give my view about how my wife and children should share my properties.” Then I told him that I am also an astrologer and he won’t die. If a person has reconciled to death and if you tell him that he doesn’t die, he will be interested to know more. It’s a matter of psychology. Who would like to die unless the mind has become very negative? Nobody looks for death unless the whole thing turned out to be negative in his psyche, and this man was not negative in his psyche. He said, “How do you know?” Then I told him, “Astrology only speaks of a prediction on things which are constant. As far as the prediction given by the astrolo-gers is concerned, you can make it true or you can make it false. It de-


pends on you. With your will you can change.” That is how the difficult times of life can be overcome with will. Astrology never speaks of fatality. There is no fatality in the true ancient wisdom. I told my friend, “I have seen you many times. You have a ten-dency to over-eat. Consequently, you have developed heavy weight and your heart is not able to take the load of your body. If you continue to eat like this, you certainly will get a heart-attack. A heart-attack must not necessarily lead to death. But it is likely that you get a heart-attack, and then there is a possibility for death. Suppose, you change your method of eating and adapt to a more sensible way of eating and overcome the ha-bit of over-eating, you will continue to live. The cause for a heart-attack in your case depends upon an abnormal habit that you have. Your habit of eating limitlessly and your habit of eating oily, fat and fried food and your habit of not doing exercises will certainly lead you to that point. If you change this aspect in your life, then the prediction will not occur. The friend said, “Yes, I agree that I have a habit of over-eating. How can I overcome this habit?” Then I told him, “Do you love your wife and children?” “Yes”, he said. “Do you love your children more or do you love the food more?” I asked. He said, “The children.” Then I told him, “Whenever you think of eating something, think of your children, becau-se your children need a father. Imagine that at that young age they lose their father, they become destitute. If you imagine your children beco-ming destitute, then you will not eat all that you want to eat though it is there.” It’s also playing upon the psychology. He has preferences. As between the children and food, he likes the children. So I said, “When you think of your children, since you love the children more than the food, you won’t eat without any sensibility. Keep in mind the children for purposes of exercise, for purposes of eating.” He felt what I said was sensible and it gives a chance to continue to live than to die. He said, “I will try.” I an-swered, “Please try and change the course of events, then the prediction changes.” He started picking up the new habit of not eating fat-fried food and doing exercises. Twenty-nine years passed by, because I was of twenty-seven years, when I met him. Now I am in my fifty-sixth year. Twenty-nine years passed by, he is living well and he is seventy-one years now. It’s only the foolish as-


trologers who don’t see that the divine possibility is always there in every aspect. They keep on limiting your will instead of stimulating your will. What is important is that you stimulate the will of the person, but not kill it. My friend is thankful because he fulfilled all duties in life.

Sickness - A Retribution

“I can wait no longer” is the common thought of every patient, but the question is: did one wait at all?People suffer from so much of restlessness that they do not wait. They are highly irritated. They are easily angered. They carry much malice. These are the true epidemics in the abstract sense. The irritation of the mucous membrane and malignant tumors are due to these weaknesses of the irritation, anger and malice. They influence the special current. They create foul atmosphere. The human emanations are powerful. They can be poisonous and they can also be of evil nature. It is not the sickness of people, that causes disturbance to the special current, but it is the malice of the people, that is affecting this special current. Sickness is but retribution. The negative emotional energies are the real sickness, which are at large in and around the human beings. The human foul play results in sickness, and sickness is a retribution, the price huma-nity pays for their foul energy. This is a vicious circle, which cannot be broken so very easily.Religions worked out to be a solution but the humanity turned them into a means of power play. Religions are used today for power play than for solving people’s riddles. The human has become a riddle himself. Wise thinking and action are the means for betterment than believes, fai-ths and superstitions.The wise teachings of the past were also cleverly distorted and abused. Human mind which is a means for human salvation has become a devil at the threshold. It turns every good into otherwise. Our activity of health


and healing is also twisted by the tricky human nature. We need to trick the trick.

Let all striving be for the benefit of the surrounding life. When one works for other’s bellies, Nature fulfils one’s belly. This simple secret of Nature is generally unknown.

A Precious Necklace

The war was over. Sita was rescued. The whole army of monkeys and bears accompanied Lord Rama to his capital Ayodhya, to celebrate his coronation. They were habitants of the forest, Vanaras. Although they fought for the Lord, ready to give their lives for him, in the wonderful city they were ashamed of their nature and tried to behave well and not to jump around.The heroes of the war were honored by a special ceremony. Sita handed to Hanuman a beautiful and precious necklace. Hanuman examined the pearls and jewelries, took it to his ears, crushed it with his teeth, and threw it to the ground. His companions were stunned. The wise Hanuman behaved like his shape. “He has no sense for the excellent things of life,” they thought. One of them dared to ask him the reason for his doing. Hanuman answered: “This necklace is taken from the treasure of Ravana. I cannot hear the Lord therein.” “The Lord is everywhere in his creation, even in the tiniest things of matter. If you do not respect matter, what about that piece of matter, your body?” Hanuman pulled out a hair of his body and put it to the ear of his companion. There was a fine humming sound in it. The hair sang the name of the Lord.

Hanuman demonstrated: Not the shape, not the surface of matter shows its value. The matter of his body was penetrated by his soul and orienta-ted to the Lord. The value of matter is given by the user, who is grateful and orientated to the Lord. The stories of this series are taken from the oldest poem of mankind, the venerable Ramayana. Master K.P. Kumar told many of them in his books and lectures. They are inspiring to those, who can extract the information contained for presence and future.

Capricorn symbolises the ascent. Ascent is to the peak. In the year it symbolises inauguration of the ascent of consciousness from the mun-dane. It marks the path to liberation of man; the consciousness from man, the mind. The purpose of Capricorn is to ascend into the pure state of consciousness, which is akin to a clean sky. For this he needs to clear the individualised clouds of thoughts. The man is suggested therefore to contemplate upon the basis of the mind, which exists in him as aware-ness.
