Vaikundarajan Impressed By Kangana’s Double Role In ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’

‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is a sequel to the 2011 movie ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ directed by Aanand L. Rai with actress Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan in lead roles.

Kangana plays a double role on screen for the first time, says Vaikundarajan. The movie revolves around Tanu and Manu’s married life and the problems they face four years post marriage.

Kangana will be playing double roles of Kusum Datto Sangwan and Tanuja “Tanu” Trivedi. The two looks that Kangana would be essaying is that of an athlete and a desi girl in the movie.

On her experience of playing double roles in the sequel, Kangana said, "They are very different. The experience was very challenging. It's usually hard to portray one character, but here I was asked to play two strong characters."

Speaking further about her two characters she says, "In the beginning of the film, Tanu is more self-centered. She loves herself much more than others. While Dattoo is not like her. She is a complete woman. She is somebody any one would want to be like”.

In the latter part of the movie, Manu seems to have fallen for Kusum and wishes to marry her but he can’t get over his wife Tanu. Followed by the entry of Tanu’s suitor from the previous film Raj and then the drama begins.

Vaikundarajan says that he simply wants to watch the graceful Kangana bring magic to the screen yet again. ‘Tanu Weds Manu 2’ is all set to hit the screens end of May.
