This is an opportunity for an individual to apply for the post of either Physician Assistant or Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the Fife Neurorehabilitation Service based in the Sir George Sharp Unit at Cameron Hospital in Fife. This is a permanent post. It would be suitable for someone to gain further experience as part of their career development or someone interested in gaining experience in the assessment and management of neurological conditions

You will join a highly motivated and skilled multidisciplinary team who provide integrated neurorehabilitation.The inpatient unit rehabilitation programme has been internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2003 and seeks to provide a high standard of care and rehabilitation to people with a variety of neurological conditions with a particular emphasis on acquired brain injury (including stroke and TBI) and multiple sclerosis.

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Charge Nurse within the Outpatient Department.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to person centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will have 24 hour responsibility for the Department, providing clinical leadership, managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving service improvement. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of organisational objectives. We are seeking a Health Protection Nurse Specialist to work within the Health Protection Team. You will be based in the Department of Public Health at Cameron House and work closely with other Health Protection Nurses and Consultants in Public Health.

You must be on the General Nursing and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse parts of the NMC Register, have a relevant first level degree/post-registration qualification and be able to demonstrate evidence of further professional development. You must be willing to undergo further training to advance your skills and knowledge.

You must have substantial post-registration experience including relevant experience in health protection. Community experience, and practical experience in the field of Public Health Nursing/Infection Control is desirable and experience in communicable disease and TB control would be advantageous.

You must have good analytical, judgemental, communication and computer skills. Being able to travel efficiently throughout Fife, and work autonomously and in a team are essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Charge Nurse position.

You should have a commitment to acute medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. You will support the Senior Charge Nurse by providing clinical leadership, managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving forward models of care. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to deliver the organisation's objectives. You must have relevant post registration experience at senior nurse level within an acute clinical setting and be able to demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management and leadership experience. You must understand the complexities of caring for frail individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses and the importance of the team work involved in safe daily dynamic discharge process.

This post is full time, 37.5 hour per week predominantly worked over 5 weekdays with occasional weekend working to cover the duty charge nurse rota.

We currently have an opportunity for an ERAS Nurse Practitioner within the Colorectal Service (Planned Care) at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.

You will be joining a well motivated multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible to colorectal patients in Fife.

Applications are invited from individuals who have a post graduation certificate in GI / Colorectal care or the equivalent level of knowledge and experience.

As nursing lead for the ERAS programme you will be expected to:

• Developing the role of the ERAS nurse practitioner for colorectal patients within Victoria Hospital, NHS Fife

• Lead on the development of the ERAS programme across the surgical directorate.

• Support the management of care for colorectal patients in the enhanced recovery programme.

• Develop and facilitate the delivery of educational programmes for ward staff and the wider MDT in the colorectal enhanced recovery programme.

• Audit and report on the progress of integrating the ERAS standard of care.

• Ensure the highest standard of personalised nursing care is delivered to patients and their families in partnership with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

• Motivate staff to provide high standards of care by acting as a role model.

Ward 22 is the Renal Inpatient ward. We also have some general medical patients. The unit is a 20 bedded ward, 3 of which are in the Renal High Dependency Unit.

The post consists of maintaining a very high standard of cleaning and decluttering of the ward environment. There are also some clerical and clinical duties which will support the nursing team in delivery of care to the patients.

Excellent communication skills and a knowledge of infection control and basic IT skills are essential for this post.

What support is available for me?Every individual is responsible for registering on the website, getting started and working through the programme, however:

You will be allocated a mentor, who will offer you support, feedback and guidance during your first year in practice.

The Newly Qualified Practitioner Flying Start ‘Rolling Programme’ is offered throughout NHS Fife by the Practice & Professional Development Department (Nursing and Midwifery Practice Education Facilitators and the AHP Practice Education Lead). These 4 sessions offer you support and guidance about getting started and progression through Flying Start, as well as putting you in touch with other practitioners participating in the programme.

The Practice is based within Kirkcaldy Health Centre and conveniently situated next to Victoria Hospital and Whyteman’s Brae Hospital. Our current list size is approximately 7300. The Practice is paper-light and uses Vision and Docman.

The Practice has 4 GP Partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 Associate Nurse Partner, 1 Specialist Practice Nurse, 1 Practice Nurse and a hard-working team of 12 admin staff. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care at all times and work hard to offer a wide range of services to suit the needs of our patients.

Due to retiral of our Senior Partner, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated GP to join our team. There is the option for this post to be salaried or the option for partnership. Muiredge surgery is a well-established practice situated on the Fife coast, 10 minutes’ drive from Kirkcaldy and approximately 30-35 minutes’ drive from Dundee and Edinburgh.

We are looking for an enthusiastic GP to join our friendly team. We have 7,500 patients approx. and 5 FTE GPs. (Currently 5 partners and 2 salaried GPs, all part-time i.e. less than 9 sessions, min 5 sessions, max 8.)

We have 6 sessions to offer, due to the relocation of one of our salaried GPs to a practice nearer home, and would prefer to offer a partnership but are happy to negotiate.
