East
Fourth graders rest in "final relaxation" after
their indoor recess yoga class.
Students stay after
school for "boot
camp". These kids
are doing lunges
on the stage steps.
We are thankful
for the partnership
with the East
Butler County
YMCA.
District
The FCSD school community stepped up in a big
way to help the St. Raphael's Christmas Shoppe by
donating more than 700 toys for families in need
during the "Ton of Toys" drive. The goal was to
collect enough toys to fill a one-ton City of
Fairfield dump truck, and we surpassed that goal
and the collections from last year. Way to go,
students, staff and community! The drive was
organized by Nina Rose, FHS Registered Nurse
and Students Against Drunk Driving at FHS.
Special thanks to them, the city of Fairfield for
allowing us to use their truck, and district
maintenance members Jamie Bertke, Scott Butler,
Karen Clements and Kevin Enderle for picking up
toys at all 10 schools, transportation and the
administration building!

West Students in Ms. Amy Touassi's class at West
prepared and ate a Thanksgiving dinner! Each
group made a different item for the meal
while practicing reading and math skills, turn
taking, and learning to work together. This
yearly event is super fun and looked forward
to by all of the kids!

North North was
super busy
hosting many
guests before
the
Thanksgiving
holiday. We
had a packed
house for our
first grade musical, in which every child participated, entitled HATS! In
addition, we had hundreds of senior visitors in a two day span for our
Grandperson's Day event. All students had the opportunity to spend quality
time with those they love. We are thankful for our Grandpersons!
Central Students LOVE using the iPads we got this year. In the picture, students in Mrs. McKinney's
room are practicing their math computational fluency with a little friendly competition!
(Marzano :)) Central's fundraising cadre has been hard at
work planning fun
events to raise money
to go back into the
school. One goal for
the cadre was to
purchase educational
apps for the iPads for
student use!
Middle In November, FMS hosted two events to
acknowledge
students who
exhibited positive
behavior. During
lunch students could
play PLINKO and
win prizes. Also,
students who earned
20 TRIBE tickets
were eligible to play
in the Staff vs.
Students volleyball game.
Freshman At the Freshman School, Ms. Kayla Reist and Ms. Jackie Hart led our holiday
canned food and toy drive. Offering up rewards for our leading classes, Mr.
Landon Johnson's first period was the building champion collecting over 100
cans and over
30 toys for
the canned
food and toy
drive! The
Freshman
School
surpassed
their goal of
collecting
over 1000
cans for the
canned food drive and after receiving 0 toys last year, our students and staff
brought in close to 100 toys this year.
High The Chick fil A Leadership Academy is
embarking on their Do Good December project.
Students will be creating projects to Drive, Do,
and Deliver in their community. Projects may
include toy/food drives, volunteering in the
community, and delivering food/toys this holiday
season.
