UW – Superior Windows 10 Quick Reference

Start Menu Apps

To open the Start Menu: Click on the

‘Start’ button or press on your keyboard.

To search for files or applications: Click on Start, then start typing the name of the file or App you are looking for.

To Log out or Switch Users: Click Start> Account Icon>Log Off

To lock your computer without logging off: Click Start>Account Icon>Lock, or

press + L

To launch an app: Find the App ‘s tile on the start Menu and left click on the app that you wish to open.

To search for an App: Click on the start

button or Search Icon on the task bar then start typing the name of the application that you are looking for.

To close an app: Click the close button

on the top right corner of your application or press ALT+F4 on your keyboard.
