Thank You for Your Support
In BSU’s efforts to address the 2017 theme of 50 shades of
Black: Acknowledging the Complexity of the Black Experience,
this conference will focus on the importance of learning about
racial injustices in areas such as education, police brutality,
communities, and more. This conference will acknowledge how
racial injustice in these areas impact the economics of black
lives and lead to negative ideologies such as colorism. We want
to educate conference attendees on the various as-
pects that shape the black experience and how learning about
all these "shades" of the black experience can be key in creating
and maintaining unity in the black community.
