TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP
• Intended to supplement basic seed treatment and not used by itself
• Benefits to the farmer– Increase yield in agronomic crops– control yield loss due to seedling disease– ease of application and integration– cost-effective
utrf.tennessee.edu
9
Potential licensee would have to perform:• Additional field trials on soybean – verify average yield increase is 10%
• Field trials on other dicots such as cotton, canola
• Field trials on monocots such as corn– verify if supplemental seed coating
provides benefit to other crops
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PLAN
utrf.tennessee.edu
10
• Diligence Milestone: – Complete R&D plan– Perform compatibility studies with other seed
treatments – Application rates for selected crop species
• Who are likely commercialization partners?– Any company that makes and sells seed
coatings such as Midwest Optimal Ag & Turf, Incotec, Syngenta, Bayer etc.
