requisite background and expertise to support these
initiatives.
I invite all of you to look at the possibilities that are being

Meghalaya a budding education hub, halfway to heaven
We all know while education is a serious affair, the need of life; escaping to a
holiday destination with friends having fun is the fuel of life. What if you get to
do both hand in hand?
Yes, Meghalaya, the 'Abode of Clouds' is one such destination where
education is no lesser than a holiday. Where serious study, career grooming all
happens in the lap of nature, the best way to unwind while getting educated!
In the North Eastern corner of India, Meghalaya is a state of great scenic
beauty. Undulating rivers, waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, emerald-
green lakes, gorges, precipitous ravines and panoramic views from hilltops
with an amazing mix of traditional and modern lifestyle; which is why Shillong,
the capital of Meghalaya is also known as Scotland of the East.
What makes it more exciting is the presence of several reputed educational
institutions making it the hub of education for the entire Northeast. Over the
last few decades Meghalaya has been a preferred education destination for
the people across North East and the neighbouring states with institutes like
IIM, NIT making their presence felt.
Meghalaya is also known for a population that has its own flamboyance with a
creative bent of mind; and thus it is definitely an ideal destination for UTM,
New Age University with a legacy of ISPe and UPES, Dehradun.
