“We took the youth to businesses such as Duncan Aviation, Walther Farms, American Electric Power and DENSO Manufacturing to show them what types of careers are available locally. Then we had them meet with leadership from each organization to ask questions about education, training and employment.”

Duncan Aviation: “The youth were able to witness repairs being conducted on an actual working aircraft in large hanger bays.”

Walther Farms: “The students learned how costly it can be if a rock or golf ball is not removed during the cleaning process as this could result in damaging machinery, which would affect the company’s bottom line.”

American Electric Power: “The importance of a good attitude and work ethic and its effect on an employee’s advancement opportunities within a company, along with information regarding the importance of continuous education and tuition reimbursement benefits was also addressed.”
