Utility Permits : Scenario Description

Utility Permit Application:

1. Franchise users can create New Permit by selecting location

for permit, add contacts, comments, documents, images, traffic

typical application and submit the permit.

2. Notifications : Franchise user gets notifications for the following

permit status(Submitted, In Progress, Authorized and Additional

information required).

3. Search Permit Link will enable user to search permit based on

required columns.

4. Download Permit will enable user to download Permit and save

the Permit

5. Filter Permits will enable user to choose columns and filter text

to search permit within the page. Users can click on ‘Full Map’

link to search all permits in the Application.

6. Request for permit Extension will enable users to request for

permit extension only for authorized permits.

7. Duplicate the Permit will enable users to create a duplicate

Permit with the existing information

8. Update work start date : User can update work start date for

authorized permit

9. Franchise user can update user profile, change password and

view company info.

1. Create Permit as Franchise user

Step 1: Login using username and

password Enter User ID

Enter Password

Click Login Button.

Step 2: My Dashboard page appears

with username as entered.

Step 3: Navigate to Utility Permits

Click Utility Permits Button.

Step 4: Utility Permit Page appears.

Step 5: Click Add New Link .

Step 6: Add Permit Page appears.

Click Add New Link.


Step 7: Click on ‘Full Map’ to select location.

Step 8 : ‘Full Map’ page appears.

a) : Enter address in ‘Search’

DO NOT include State name and Zip

b) : Click on ‘Search’ button

c) : Select ‘Buffer’ for bigger draw point size.

d) : Click on Draw Point/Draw Line

e) : Select location (select point(s) on Map

or Draw line (s)).

f) : Click on ‘Save & Close’

g) :Create new permit pages appears with

latitude and longitude details.

Click on ‘Full Map’


Enter Address Click on ‘Search’

Select Location

Click on ‘Save’

Click on Draw point/Line

Select Buffer

If Address is available use Step 8 else

skip to Step 9


Click

on ‘+’ zoom.

Drag to select location

Step 9 : ‘Full Map’ page appears.

a) : Click on ‘+’ zoom button

b) : Drag on map. Map zooms in to the

selected area. Zoom and pan

until work area is visible.

c) : Click on Draw Point(s)/Line(s)

d) : Select location.

e) Click on ‘Save & Close’

f) : Create new permit pages appears

with latitude and longitude details .

Step 11 : Click on ‘Save’ button.

Once saved the following buttons are

enabled :

‘Contacts’

‘Traffic Typical Applications’

‘Submit’ button will appear after save.Click on Save“Record inserted Successful “

Step 12 : Add Contacts

Click on ‘Contacts’

Step 13 : ‘Contacts’ page appears.

Click ‘Add/Edit Contacts’.

Step 14 : ‘Users’ window appears.

a) : Select user from ‘Available Users’.

b) : Click right arrow.

c) : Selected user should go to

‘Selected Users’.

d) : Click on ‘Radio’ button to select

‘Primary Contact’.

e) : Select user from ‘Available External

Contracts’.

f) : Click right arrow.

g) : Selected user should go to

‘Selected External Contacts’.

h) : Click on ‘Save’

i ) : ‘Record Updated Successfully’

message appears.

j) : Close the window.

Download, Add Child documents , Delete.

Added file name appears under ‘Document Hierarchy’.

Date Created & Created by will get displayed.

g) : Click on ‘Delete’ button to delete the document.

h) : Close ‘Add Documents’ window.

j) : Close the ‘View image’ window.

2. Notifications for Franchise user

Step 1 : Click on ‘My Dashboard’

‘My Dashboard ‘ page appears.

Notifications appears with Notification Date,

Name, Subject.

Click on ‘View’.Click on

Step 2 : Window opens with Notification’s name.

Click ‘Unread’ to make it ‘Read’ again.

3. Search Utility Permits

Step 1 : Click on ‘Utility Permits’ tab.

Click on ‘Search’ link

Step 2 : Search Utility Permit window appears.

a) : Click on ‘Add Search Column’ button

b) : Select column from drop down.

c) : Select operator from dropdown

d) : Enter search data in text box or

select from drop down.

Repeat steps ‘a’ to ‘d’ to add one more column

e) : Select ‘And’ or ‘Or’ from drop down.

Click on Search

3. Search Utility Permits

f) : Select column from ‘Available Report Column’

list box.

g) : Click on right arrow.

Selected column will move to ‘Selected Report

h) :Click on ‘Update Search Criteria’ button.

‘Search Saved’ message appears.

i) : Click on ‘Close’

4. Download Utility Permits

Step 1 : Select ‘Authorized’ permit from the

‘Utility Permit’

Click ‘View/Edit’ link

Select permit

Click on ‘View/Edit

Step 2 : ‘Edit Application’ window appears.

Click on ‘Download’ button.

Click on Download


Step 3 : ‘File Upload’ window appears.

Save the Permit.

Step 3.1 :Click on ‘Save’ button.

Click on ‘Save’

Step 4: Open the Permit.

Click on ‘Open’ button.

5. Search Permit with ‘Filters’

Step 2.1 : Select column from ‘Filter On Column’ drop down.

Scenario 1 : To Search with in the page.

Scenario 2 : To Search all records.

Click on ‘Filter’

Step 3 : Enter data in ‘Filter Text’ text box.

Click on ‘Filter’ button.

Step 1 : Select ‘Authorized’ permit in ‘Utility Permits’

page.

Click on ‘View/Edit’ link.Click on

window.

Click on Extension

6. Request for permit ‘Extension’Step 3 : ‘View Comments’ window appears.

Enter data in ‘Body’ is required.


‘Extension Requested Successfully’ message appears.

Data displays for Date Created & Created By.

Close ‘View Comments’ window.

7. Duplicate Permit

Step 1 : Select existing Permit from ‘Utility Permits’.

Click on ‘View/Edit’

Select PermitClick on View/Edit

Click on Duplicate

Step 2 : Click on ‘Duplicate’ button.

‘Add Application’ window appears with all the data in all fields.

7. Duplicate Permit

Step 3 : Update required fields.

Click on ‘Save’.


‘ID’ will be generated.

8. Update Work Start Date

Step 1 : Select ‘Authorized’ permit from

Utility Permits list screen.

Click on ‘View/Edit’ link.

Select a date after the Permitted Date.

Click ‘X’ to close to close calendar.
