USTA Missouri Valley Membership Committee Goals
The committee’s prioritized goals for 2009– Work with district leadership to establish a standing committee or a sub-
committee of Community Tennis for membership in each district.– Provide resources for the district committee chairs that explain USTA
membership fees, benefits and tools to grow membership in their district.– Grow interest in the membership grant that is available to the districts to recruit
and retain individual and organizational members in their district. Criteria for meeting those goals
– Commitment for the creation of the membership committee or sub-committee from each district for 2009 and beyond.
– Development of resources and distribution to each district.– Each district will apply for a minimum of one grant for 2009.– Membership growth per district of 1%.

Organization Membership - Categories
Community Tennis Association Any multi-purpose, incorporated, geographically defined, not-for-profit, volunteer tennis support organization which supports or provides comprehensive programs.
Club Any private or commercial club, resort hotel, condominium, apartment complex or homeowners' association that controls and maintains tennis facilities.
School Any elementary or secondary school, college, university or other educational institution.
Park & Recreation Department Any municipal, county or other public entity that fosters tennis activities.
Program Delivery, Service, Organization or other Entities Any other organization or private entity, including a limited or single focus tennis association that actively conducts, controls or supervises tennis activities or is interested in the promotion of tennis.
