We hired a new youth pastor, allowing our campus pastor to focus full-time on EJCC! We've identified our part-time EJCC staff! We've already received commit ments from unchurched East Jordan residents to attend! We've begun developing program ming for every ministry area! We've set a date! Primetime Fellowship

Highlights & Hospitality•Bob & Ruth Fite

This past year has been an exciting journey. We havemaintained our sanity only through a commitment towalk by faith. We certainly haven’t been perfect andyet we have consistently seen God’s goodness, provi-sion, Sovereignty, and grace shine through on ourfamily. Landon and Charlotte will most likely have nomemory of this transition. We are very excited to tellthem about all of the wonderful things God did in ourfamily and the ways that He challenged and stretchedour faith in Him getting us to this point.

We want to say thank you to WLCC for the way tothat you have so warmly and generously received thefour of us into the family. It has been so encouragingto be apart of a family that is genuine and cares forone another. We look forward to Sunday’s and theopportunity to worship together. Every time thatLandon sees the church building he starts clappingbecause he knows that we praise Jesus there. (And welive in the hospitality house so there is a lot of clap-ping.) We feel blessed to be apart of this family and

to have the privilege of worshiping Jesus along sideeach of you.In only a few short weeks on the job it is evident thatGod is at work among the young people. I am excitedto have been called by God to serve as the new YouthPastor. He has laid on my heart a desire and a visionto further develop the youth leadership team. As theleadership team builds trust and a genuine love forone another I would appreciate your prayers as weseek the Lord on this journey.

For all those directly impacted by youth ministryplease keep your nose to the ground as there will be acouple of opportunities for fellowship and service thissummer. Anyone interested in learning more aboutyouth ministry either as a potential volunteer or a par-ticipant please come and spend some time with me. Iwould love the opportunity hear about what God isdoing in your life and to share more about the WLCCyouth ministry.

One of my favorite activities is walking/hiking outdoors. Many times I can be seen around town, but if at all possi-ble, I like to be out in the woods, enjoying God's creation inmore depth, especially when I can take pictures. Flowersare probably my favorite subject. By taking pictures, I getto enjoy the beauty not only in the woods, but also after-wards, when I look at the photos again and again. I am con-tinually amazed when I examine the pictures how thedesign detail that I didn't even know existed. WOW. As each season emerges, so do the types of flowers. Thetrout lilies and spring beauties start things off, followed inturn by marsh marigolds and trillium, forget-me-nots andlady slippers (including some "fancy"), then the wood lilyand Grass-of-Parnassus. Actually, the list could go on andon. On a recent trip through the Jordan River pathway (oneof my very favorite places), the trillium season had ended, and it didn't seem like there was much in bloom. However,if I looked a little closer, there were ferns just waiting tounfurl and buds of something that was waiting their turn, gathering up nutrients and moisture into their stalks so theywould be able to open in full color at the proper time. While I didn't see many blooms, it didn't mean there wasn'tanything going on. Sure enough, on the next trip I saw

blooms I had never seen before (goatsbeard, twinflower, nightshade) The same thing has happened in my life as well. Some sea-sons are very prolific, with obvious signs of spiritualgrowth and/or fruitful ministry involvement. Then therecomes a season when the "evidence" isn't so obvious, and Imaybe question where I should be or what I should bedoing. I have to remember that these seasons without"blooms" don't necessarily mean that something's wrong.Rather, could it mean it's a time of waiting? A time toabsorb the "nutrients" (such studying the Word, or engagingin praise/worship of my Creator) that will prepare me forthe next season that is to come? The challenge comes in notgetting so impatient for the appearance of the next "bloom"that I miss being involved in where God is working in mylife right where I'm at. I need to be open to the nourishmentHe is providing as He prepares me for what's to come. TheLord is faithful, bringing the blooms He has planned at justthe right time. Thanks be to God!"See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you notperceive it?" Isaiah 43:19 "There is a time for everything, and a season for everyactivity under heaven" Eccl. 3:1

The Primetime Fellowship group gathered at the Bayviewauditorium on Friday, June 17 to see The Young Americansperform. What an outstanding performance from so manytalented young people! The show was from 7:30 to 10 pmwith a brief intermission. We were all able to sit near eachother. Bundles of BlessingsLena born to Rob &Christy Blackall on May 16Johan born to Dave &JoDee Hissong on May 20Liam born to Keith &Jennie Schoenith on June 8

You often don't appreciate how precious being partof the body of Christ is until you need other mem-bers of the body to come alongside you. I wouldlike to share with you the Klevorn family experi-enced this last month: I Cor 12:26, “If one part suf-fers, every part suffers with it; if one part is hon-ored, every part rejoices with it.”

Rachel had a medical procedure which took her offher feet as well as her game right after schoolended. She is a wonderful cook, but I thought thekids and I could survive with BC Pizza on speeddial. Turns out, I didn't have to even order outonce, given the gracious and loving efforts of oth-ers. While I was still in the hospital with my bride, the McGeorges delivered chicken enchiladas thatRed Mesa should add to their menu. Sunday, whenwe got her home, the Groffs brought over a beefroast and home cooked veggies in enough quantityto feed a battalion. Guess the reputation of theKlevorn male appetites has spread. I often observethat by late August and a summer of everybody(and their friends!) home from college that thetuition starting back up in September may actuallybe cheaper......On Monday the Nasons broughtover a turkey dish, two salads, and an ice creamdessert I nursed (well, to be truthful, hid) for mostof the week. Karen Kruzel's manicotti could beoffered by Olive Garden, and since this wasbrought over during her final crunch week ofschool, was accepted with much humility andgratefulness. The Cook's lasagna and

accoutrements left no one (well, no adults anyway)raiding the frig later that night. Becky Miller'scheesy potatoes recipe needs to be shared with theworld, and once again, a meal delivered in suchquantity that Rachel asked for Friday's meal to waituntil the following week, as we were running shorton leftover containers, even with two boys pack-ing work lunches daily. Finally, Diane Womack'sstuffed peppers and strawberry shortcake com-pelled the last rounds of ooohs and ahhhhhs fromthe more-than-satisfied customers.

I confess that more than once I have grumbledwhen we have returned home late to listen to amessage on the answering machine to the effect of"Can you take a meal over to..." We can be toobusy as many of you can be as well, to be sure. Ihave resolved to not grumble any more, being onthe receiving end of such wonderful hospitality. Iwas wrong in having the occasional bad attitudewhen the request didn’t come at a convenient time.

To those I mentioned here, and so many others atWalloon, I encourage you to not weary in welldoing. Our entire family, not just Rachel, wasblessed beyond measure by the love of Jesusexpressed through His children at Walloon LakeCommunity Church. Thanks to all who give ofthemselves to encourage those who need a bless-ing. We are and will continue to be, most grateful.
