DEFINITIONS
In this Bylaw or in any resolution of Council passed relating to this Bylaw, the definitions contained in the MMCD General Conditions, Construction Document, Platinum Edition, shall apply and in addition the following.

SCHEDULES
All works to be constructed under this Bylaw shall be designed by a Consulting Engineer in accordance with the Master Municipal Construction Document (MMCD) Design Guideline Manual dated 2005, and the MMCD Construction Specifications, Platinum Edition dated 2009, together with the City of XXXX Supplementary Provisions all of which form part of this Bylaw.

SCHEDULES
Design requirements for Water Distribution are contained in the Master Municipal Construction Document (MMCD) Design Guideline Manual dated 2005, Section 2.0, with the following Supplementary Provisions. In the event of a conflict between Supplementary Provisions and the MMCD Manual, the Supplementary Provisions will take precedence;

CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS
Construction Specifications are contained in the Master Municipal Construction Documents Association (MMCD) Civil Specifications, Platinum Edition, dated 2009, together with the City of XXXX Supplementary Conditions. In the event of a conflict between the Supplementary Conditions and the MMCDA Construction Documents, the Supplementary Conditions will take precedence;
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
Application of MMCDA documents to the construction of works and services by the Owner.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
MMCDA construction documents are written specifically for unit price contracts. It is not a requirement that the Owner utilize MMCDA documents for construction purposes; however the MMCDA Specifications together with the City of XXXX Supplementary Specifications are mandatory.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
The Owner will appoint an experienced Contract Administrator to undertake the duties outlined in Section 3.3 of the MMCDA General Conditions and inform the Engineer prior to commencement of construction of the designated individual. The Contract Administrator will be the primary contact with the City with respect to the construction and will provide the City with weekly progress reports during the construction period.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
The Engineer will perform intermittent inspections at the site for the purposes of monitoring progress, and will advise the Contract Administrator of any City requirements during construction.
