Check that all usage data for August 2012 to July 2013 are present:

Look at your Welcome screen• Click on the ‘Your data’ tab at the

top• Check that you have green

ticks against each publisher for each month Aug 2012-July 2013

• Click on the ‘publisher information’ tab • Check where there are issues

with some publishers that affect data collection

SCONUL returns report

• Select SCONUL returns from the drop-down menu

• Select publisher ‘All’• Select year (2012-13 for the current

report)• Click on submit

SCONUL return: total usage for an academic year (1 Aug-31 July)

The first column (Direct JR1) is the one to use for the SCONUL return• Add in extra rows for data from

other publishers not included in JUSP

• Add totals for gateways and hosts using the JR1 figures downloaded from their sites as totals for these are not available in JUSP

• Get a final total to include in D7

• The report ‘List all deals and title counts’ shows the number of titles included in each of the deals or collections for publishers in JUSP.

• This will help you with some of the detail for questions C9-C15 on number of serial titles and for arriving at the total required in C16

• Download ‘list all titles and deals counts’ as CSV file

• Select the deals you take and delete all others

• Add in all other deals you take and number of titles in each

• Get a total• Transfer total to the

SCONUL return

Notes to D13 from SCONUL returnOnly required from those libraries which manage the repository on behalf of their institution. Wherever available, give the figure for downloads from the COUNTER-compliant IRUS IR1 report. Where the COUNTER IRUS figure is not available, give the nearest equivalent and add a note to indicate the source of the data.
