How the lesson works

Time Activity Outcome

Task 1 –

20/30 mins.

Learners are given a topic and using

notes/books/internet must create a 10

question (minimum) quiz

All students will have written a

quiz on a topic of tutors choice

Task 2 –

5 mins.

Learners email (if possible) all

questions to tutor and these can be

stored and re-used in the future

Tutor receives a wide range of

quiz questions

Task 3 –

10 mins.

All learners log into

http://classtools.net/education-games-

php/quiz/ and paste their questions in

the box provided

Learners take ownership of

their quiz and each has

created one

Task 4 –

35-45 mins.

Learners move around the room and

complete each others quizzes. Record

scores if possible (if learners are

competitive!)

Learners answer a range of

questions on topics chosen by

the tutor

Task 5 –

10 mins

Recap – learning check of tutors choice Learners have completed a

range of quizzes

Did it work?

This lesson worked extremely well with the level 1

and 2 sports groups

Their competitive streak meant that playing

games and getting to the next level motivated

them to learn!
