Your logo image should be scaled to 200 pixels wide and 125 pixels high.
Before uploading your logo the name of the campus will show.
A banner image should be 800 pixels wide and 200 pixels high. If you
have not uploaded a banner there will be a map of your location instead of
the banner.
The slogan is the name of the school. The field will be blank until you
change the slogan.
The welcome message is where you present your school and what
happens there.
Faculties set up is to make it easy for members to identify their courses.
Everyone who press will get status as a member of the
campus. As a campus admin you can organize your members so that they
have the rights they need, and you can also subscribe your members to
courses. To organize campus members press "edit" and you get a list of
all your members.
To organize members, please check the individual members and assign
them into a course that they will be attending.
You can also give members the role of campus admin or campus teacher.
By editing a member you can assign him to theese three roles
Subscriber – a member that can subscribe to public courses
Campus Teacher – can create courses
Campus Admin – can organize the whole campus and import new
members
You can also remove the member from the campus, if necessary.
Chapter 3 – Create a course
To create a course you should be in the faculty your course is supposed to
be, later on you can choose to move the course to another faculty by
using drag and drop.
To give a course a name, we recommend that you set up classes and
ages, this will make it easier to locate the course later on. A course can be
a subject such as mathematics, but we recommend that course splitting
the subject into topics. For instance 2014 - fractinos - 9th grade, and
then publish everything related to the topic of this course. Later on you
can create a new course called equations or the new theme that you want
to do in your class.
You have three options for visibility at a course:
Visible to everyone
Visible only to campus members
Invite only
It is you as the creator of the course who can determine the degree of
sharing your learning resources. It is important to note that anyone who
has the role of teacher or admin has access to all courses at the campus.
You can also edit the visibility and name pf the course whenever you
want.
A course looks like your homepage, and you can do exactly the same in a
course as you can do with a personal note. At all courses everybody who
has the role of campus admin or campus teacher can post content.
The only difference between a homepage and a course is that students
can subscribe to a course, and by subscribing to the course they will get
notifications about lessons updates or assignments. To subscribe to a
course, the user must press button at the top right of the
course. All who subscribe will get a notification when they have an
assignment and when the deadline for the for the assignment is. They will
also receive a notification when the deadline approaches.
To make an assignment, select "create as assignment" and you will then
get the following screen message:
You will have to insert the deadline for the assignment and decide what
kind of assignment you are giving.
If you choose "Essay assignment" this will look like a normal note, where
the user can embed external content. Selecting "Multiple choice" you will
also be able to set up a multi-response assignment. The student will still
be able to write text notes or add any content that they want to attach to
ther assigmnment. As a teacher you will get notifications when a student
has started o work on the assignment, and after the deadline the student
will not be able to edit their assignment. The student has still the
opportunity to set the visibility of their assignment, but even if it is set as
visible only for themselves, the teacher can see and give comments to the
assignment.
This is a teacher view of an assignment.
To respond to an assignment press the green button "RESPOND two
assignment." This button is only visible to those listed as "subscriber"
If you choose "multiple choice" as task type you will get the following
screen:
You can enter as many options as you want to a question and create as
many questions as you want
