SSO User ID Activation
Access Guide – Activate SSO ID
This section describes standard operating procedure of the Web SSO system including step-by-step
access guide with picture-illustrated description.
To activate for the first time, access the WebSSO Portal https://websso.uitm.edu.my
Click LOGIN to open 1UiTM Login page.

Click on the “First Time Login” at the top to activate their ID for the first time
First Time User Activation
Provide your UiTM email and no. staff and click “Activate”.

Security Code Verification
User will receive a Account Verification email in your UiTM Email for Account Activation like below.
Security Code Verification
Enter the Security Code as received from the UiTM Email and click on “Check Code”.

First Time User Activation
You have successfully activated. Click on “Continue” to proceed.
First Time User Activation
Set your new password and click “Change Password”. Please wait a moment until you see the next
screen.

Setup Password Response
Select the Challenge Questions and provide its corresponding Responses. Click on “Save Responses”
when done.
Setup Password Response (Completed)
Click Continue to complete the Setup Password Response process. Click Continue.

Logout
Close the browser after reset their own Password.

Forgotten Password
Access Guide – Activate SSO ID
This section describes step-by-step access guide on how to reset password when users forgot their login.
Forgotten Password Reset
When user forget their password in the future, they will access the SSPR Portal and Click on the
“Forgotten Password” button to reset their password.
Forgotten Password Reset
Enter the staff details to identify yourself to retrieve staff challenge questions.

Forgotten Password Reset
Provide the responses for the challege questions accordingly.
Security Code Verification
Enter the Security Code as received from the UiTM Email.

Forgotten Password Reset
Upon successful password responses, end user will receive a Forgotten Password Verification email
with Security Code token inside.
Security Code Verification
Enter the Security Code as received from the UiTM Email and click on “Check Code”

Forgotten Password Reset
Provide new password complying to the Password Policy stated.
Forgotten Password Reset
Click on “Change Password” to reset the password for the first time. The password change may take
several minutes.

Forgotten Password Reset (Successful)
User successfully reset their own Password.
Logout
Close the browser after reset their own Password.

Notification for Forgotten Password Reset
User will also receive an email notification about setting NEW Password upon Account Activation.

First Time Authentication to Application
Access Guide – Using Single Sign-On to Application (First Time)
This section describes step-by-step access guide on how to access application using single sign-on
service (For First Time Application SSO Access).
Protected Web Application Access
When accessing SALAM Email which is configured for WebSSO as Protected Resource, user will be
prompted to login their WebSSO credentials.

User login with the WebSSO credentials.
Protected Application Access
(Application Credential Available)
Upon succesful login WebSSO credentials against eDirectory, user will be SSO to landing portal of
WebSSO. User can choose any application that they want to access. (Example: choose E-Mail(NEW))

Protected Email Access
(Application Credential not existed)
Since the SALAM Email Application Credentials is not available, user will be presented with SALAM Email
Application login page.

User will login using SALAM Email credentials

Protected Email Access
(Wrong Application credential provided)
If user provides the wrong SALAM Email credentials, Access Manager will not capture the wrong
credentials until user login with the right one.
Protected Email Access
(Application Credential validated successfully)
If user provides the correct SALAM Email credentials, Access Manager will capture the credentials and
user will be able to access SALAM Email.

Subsequent Access to Application
Access Guide – Using Single Sign-On to Application (Subsequent)
This section describes step-by-step access guide on how to access application using single sign-on
service (For Subsequent Application SSO Access).
Protected Application Access
When accessing any application which is configured for WebSSO as Protected Resource, user will be
prompted to login their WebSSO credentials
